Good to see some Lurquins in the mix. Hopefully Ryan will post up that killer subhilt of his.

I so wish I would have bought this knife from Rick at Blade this year

Rick please make me a scaled down carry version someday

Glad to see this thread, I was actually looking through previous years Bowies last night :)

I see a lot of makers peeking, but not a lot nominating. It's like an election. You can nominate yourself if you want to :)

Some outstanding work shown already...and the cumulative artistry
just seems to get better every year.........

Seth no voting yet just nominating

In a few days when all nominees are in the vote will start

Than the 5 finalists will be voted on

Edited. You got me Joe. In my Boxing Day zeal, I misspoke. But the sentiment is the same. I want to see what gets the makers' hearts a'beatin !

FYI - A knife should only be nominated one time. Multiple nominations for the same knife makes
it difficult to tally votes for finalist.

Hello!

Great thread, great knives - a real pleasure! Thank you for the eye candy, guys!

Yep, post 8-1 and 13-2 are the same knife.

As for nominations, due to circumstances (I had hand surgery and typing with on finger is really no fun) I will not be able to add nominees.

My favorite thread of the year!!I think I only have two this year so first I with throw this guardless one into the mix.

Next is this one.

???

On my computer, 8-1 is a Mike Ruth, Jr. "Moran" fighter and 13-2 is a Christensen Carved Ironwood.

What am I missing?

Some GREAT knives already. We could close it off right now and already easily find five worthy finalists. In fact, there are several makers who have multiple knives worthy of the final five, IMO. I guess us Neanderthal collectors of big fixed blade custom knivess are not quite dead yet after all.
