LOL I saw it on Facebook first & didn't really believe it but when this little headline was at the top of the actual forum you had me going for a few seconds there! :)

Just contacted a friend at Google in Mountain View, he says they have acquired more than 250 forums mostly to do with firearms, weapons, and survival type sites.

Unfortunately he believes the long term plan is not to a shut the sites down but to "gently shift their (the forums) focus" in a more PC direction that is in line with the views of Google management...

Hey I use Android for everything and Google manages all our business communications, so sounds like a good move to me.

I am more disturbed by this thread as every tic of the clock disturbs my existence.

Rules will be much tighter, and a lot of things that we tolerate now will no longer be tolerated.

No more free memberships, either.

Seriously, Google has zero interest in Bladeforums; they are too busy mining your personal data on behalf of various domestic spying agencies.
 
If this is real its offensive for lots of reasons, if its a April fools joke its offensive because of how much work it must of took, how much better could that time have been spent? There are paying members needing site support assistance in the tech support forum that have been waiting since before 3/10. Assistance for stuff they paid additional money for (like $10 name changes and membership pro-rates). No time to help them but time for a freakin joke...

Serously of this is a joke it's pretty sad and if its for real it's extremely sad.
