Does that qualify as a personal insult? That is against the rules, I believe, all across BF, including the PA forum.



I participate in PA and I don't see anybody promoting or celebrating calls to violence or making threats. What I see are strong opinions that somebody could INTERPRET that way. Just like somebody could interpret this thread as calling for censorship, repealing the First Amendment, cancel culturing everyone who doesn't agree with them.... but that doesn't make it true - does it?

Aren't those wanting the PA forum to be removed from this forum just expressing their opinion? Or does that mean that they are truly calling for censorship and trying to take away other people's First Amendment rights? I don't think that is the case at all... but it could be understandable if someone interpreted it that way, in their own personal judgement and bias.

I agree that I don’t think people are trying to suppress anyone’s rights... but I DO think there are sensitive types among us that seriously become enraged or have their anxiety levels raised when they see words like “Trump” on the forum... and it’s just not going to be possible to placate these types. You can’t make the world a safe space. A little resilience goes a long way.

Edited to add: I also think there are those among us that have serious issues with how PA is run, and it goes without saying they are of a particular leaning politically. Their position is that if they can’t control what is talked about and how the sub forum is run, they’d rather just trash it out of spite.

But I feel like I'm offending people here in this thread. Maybe we should just all forget this whole conversation thing. People get upset, sometimes. If you think PA is rough, those Benchmade vs. Spyderco discussions really cause some butthurt!

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The guy who said that several of the posters had Trump's c-ck in their mouths didn't get banned, but somebody came along and said "Hey mod, you're biased. WTF?" and they got banned? And somebody said Qanon was fantasy!?! Oh yeah, that was me.

And when you call out the bs, they ban you for sassing a mod. Weak ass shit for sure.

And they accuse you of not working, as all leftists are welfare abusers.

If anything should be "scrubbed", I'd suggest Whine & Cheese and The Pirate's Cove... those are the places where the real hate and filth resides... just a thought.

I don't think W&C or TPC have any redeeming value, either, but I feel the same way about them as I do about PA. Well, actually, I feel the same way about PA that I do about W&C and TPC. New posts and threads in those subforums don't show up when I browse using "New Posts," which is... basically always how I browse. So if I want to read them, I have to actually go to those forums.

I have moral objections to pornography and don't see any redeeming value in trollish stupidity, but I recognize that those are minority opinions on the internet and probably on Bladeforums. I don't want any of those three subforums to be removed, even though I find the content of all three personally objectionable. I don't think Bladeforums would be a worse site without them, but I don't want them removed. Just delisted from the New Posts search.

As others and myself have pointed out, the thread title was not the point...politics being displayed without searching was the point. Stop trying to change the subject.

So the thread title was the point, politics are displayed daily from radio, billboards, television, etc., all without searching, I wonder how some deal with the horror of that

I’m surprised that you’re engaging in conversation with some in this thread, your “signature” would indicate that those members should be on “ignore”... just saying.
