BladeHQ Para 2 exclusive M4 w/ Jade G10

to bucilli15,take a good look in the miror!also read carefully what i wrote last week!do you know the meaning of the word hypocrit?

This is just retired01 flying off the reality handle again. Pay it no mind. He has a history of it.

My knife budget is low right now or I'd be all over trying to get one of these!

Wasn't sure how much I would like the Jade/Natural, but man this stuff looks much better in person.
Not crazy about most G10 colors, but do like this, along with the older Sage Green, Brown, Black, and Carbon Fiber on my Millies/Para's.

I think I like this Natural better than any G10 yet. PP Carbon Fiber still my favorite handle material, but this isn't far behind.
Very cool looking stuff, IMO anyway.

Also, as close to perfection as any Para I've had. Just luck of the draw I guess. Perfect edge grind with zero overgrind, opens super smooth with perfect detent(not to heavy as with my last two), no lock stick, and fitted perfectly.
Great choice on the M4 Natural/Jade combo, BladeHQ:thumbup:

I have to add... My specimen has the sharpest blade I have ever seen on a spydie. I dont know if it is just the way M4 takes an edge or if it was sharpened differently from previous models. The only knives I have ever had that were sharper was a Survive! Knife. I am not completely sold on the jade G10, but its very unique.

Sorry if I offended anyone stating my dislike of the Jade, didn't mean that everyone should dislike it, it's just me.

Seems to be a lot of consensus on the build quality on these. My two are pretty much perfect examples of the PM2. Beautiful grinds, centered blades, drop closed, smooth action... Great job Spyderco and BHQ.

M4 gets crazy sharp in my experience and this one is no different.
After I finished my steak earlier ("dulled" (I'm a fanatic) on a ceramic plate) I did some sharpening and as expected it is sharper than new.
It's definitely one of the reasons I bought this release. With the profile and grind of the M4 in a PM2 this thing is a slicing beast.

Nice color in person. Exceedingly sharp out of the box. Centered. Nice action if a tad tight, and early lockup. The only thing off is the grind is asymmetrical. Each side is even by itself but the two sides are different.

I have already done my standard modifications - lightly sand scales so they don't shred pockets (the G10 is pretty grippy) and sand the clip so it is satin instead of polished so as to reflect less. It will definitely be a user.

When I put the clip back on I used purple locative. A side effect is that I can see the loctite with the natural G10.

This Para2 model is getting flipped like a mofo in the FS section. Don't think I have ever seen a model this new being flipped this much. Crazy

My only complaint is that to get mine to drop closed I had to loosen to the point of side to side blade play.

That's probably because of the 3 per order limit set by BladeHQ.
If it were 1 per person it would be a different story.
But with the KnifeWorks carbon/M4 version soon to be released maybe there was a reason for BHQ to get these off the shelves quickly to recoup the outlay for this exclusive run.
I know if I laid out that kind of cheese for that many knives I'd want to turn them over before another store capitalized on our knife buying dollars.

Even with one knife per person people will order more. Use different emails, family members name, different address. Some People ordered 6 even tho 3 was the limit. There's no perfect way to do something. It worked for BHQ and everyone had a chance. Best exclusive buying experience I've had so far...even with the CC crash scare.

The birthday gift is Spyderco.

Got my PM 2 today and used it for food prep. Immediately after, it had a pretty serious patina on both sides. I also have a Gayle Bradley that I use daily for food prep, with very little patina. What gives?

Last night I cleaned my blade with denatured alcohol to remove any oil then cut up some tomatoes, onions and peppers for dinner, then a lemon with only wiping it down with a paper towel without rinsing with any water. I got nothing.

Thats exactly what I did. Ide rather have a solid lockup than a "drop close" loose blade

My new PM2 S110V was tight,, a little Nano-Oil in the pivot/washers and it made a nice improvement.

Worked it in, then two days later, a slight turn on the pivot screw,,, perfection.

FK

Hi BHQ,
is this what you want?people speculating with PM2 M4's?this is not fair to all the people who really would have want one,now they can buy it from "DOLLARHUNGRY"people who want to make a fast buck, hilarious!you should have sold ONE person ONE knife,THATS FAIR!and for all the people who think i have none,WRONG!i have2!but i wouldn't sell them for 500 a piece, one is for my display case and one is for EDC!

So - you and everyone else should have been able to only buy one? Or do you mean that you should be able to buy two, but everyone else gets one? Or do you mean that BHQ is supposed to send a few employees out with each knife so they can do 24/7 surveillance on each buyer?

to bucilli15,take a good look in the miror!also read carefully what i wrote last week!do you know the meaning of the word hypocrit?

There is no such word. Did you mean hypocrite?
