You have very good taste.

:D

Was going to try it last night but got sidetracked. Will do so tonight though! I've heard this is actually better than the 15 year.

I got a bottle for my birthday and haven’t cracked it open yet but, yeah, all the reviewers rate the 12yr higher (sure ain’t gonna stop me from enjoying it though:p:D). If you haven’t tried it yet the 9yr Single Barrel Reserve is excellent but like so many other great choices is getting harder to find.

Have had lots of others but my go to for the past 40+ years has been/is Rebel Yell. Cheap but very drinkable. I should know, I've drank a lot of it.

I have better whiskey.
I have better bikes.
I have better knives.

But ... I was feeling a little trashy today and thought I'd play.

BTW: Some excellent examples in this thread in regards to the whiskey selections and the knives - haven't had them all - on either count, but I've dabbled.

Haven't had bourbon in months (doesn't taste right to me in the summer), but the combination of mild days and cool nights suggested this would work. My first sip back always leaves me enjoying the way a good bourbon feels in my mouth. Tequila just doesn't have the viscosity to feel like that.
Broke open the cask strength Maker's this evening, hoping it would break my cycle of being up all night. No luck so far; but I am thinking about heading out to the yard to make a fire.
