Blades & Bourbon

Yes, I still like it! ;)

And, if I'm not careful, I could drink it all up in no time flat. 🤷‍♂️

I appreciate the thought & effort; but, honestly, I don't see me ever using either.
(I know no bourbon or blade - give me a minute, I'll pour something just for you)

*Edited to add a morning drink and knife.
(Guess it's dry Corn Chex for breakfast - they go well with bourbon & I don't feel like cooking yet)

every glass I have goes into rotation (until it gets broken, they always get broken).
I have plenty of glasses that I actually like. If I want a glass that size, my answer is always the LSA in the added photo. I love the heft of it, and often find myself relaxing with it in hand rather than setting it down.
Here's an old picture that shows it better

I'm pretty sure dry weight is 22 oz

What an unexpected find!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Just bought a case (12 bottles) of Eagle Rare 10 for $50/bottle at a hole in the wall liquor store down the street from a movie theater that I had to go to to see "Freud's Last Session" (2023) because it was the only theater showing the movie w/in 50 miles of my home.

This is in addition to the 8 bottles (that I paid more for) that were already sitting in the wine rack in my storage closet at home.

Now I can actually drink some. Hope I still like it. I haven't had a drink of Eagle 10 in a couple of years. LOL! 😉

Man, that’s a hella good find. I was excited when I found a case of 6 on the shelf at Walmart about a year ago!

The store actually had a few more available that I didn't buy because I already had 8 at home.

But, I've already finished 1 bottle and have thought about going back to get the rest them. LOL! ;)

My last haul, sorry no knife. Sagamore Rye probably a top pick, comparable to current Midwinter Nights Dram (Act 11 Scene 6 I think or flip those numbers) 4 Weller Reserves 2 1.75, 1000ml, and a 750. I like getting all the bottle sizes also….still looking for a 1.75 of Eagle Rare. EH Taylor…that is probably one of the smoothest I’ve had. It’s dangerous how smooth so I find myself drinking more than normal. 2 Eagle Rares, and my favorite budget, Old Tub. For less than $20 it’s amazing.

Gravelface - I have one of the 1.75 eagle rares, its a giant bottle. I like just having it around.
also, for a decent budget bottle, if you can find them, the Benchmark series are pretty good, well, atleast the single barrel, bonded, and top floor options. I havent had the small batch or full proof yet, but I'm thinking the full proof may be worth tracking down

Had a call at a rat hole of a gas station last night. Of course they charge the upper end of secondary market prices on most, but I was amazed just finding this stuff in the wild.

Only 1 bottle each showing of the Wellers & Winkles. I trust you bought them all. I know I probably would have if I had been there.

Brother I wish I could. But my slush fund is lacking the next 2 months after paying my kids tuition. So I’m strictly stuck to my current stash. My buddy went back and got the 3 winkles for $2500. And since this place is in a seedy side of town, the folks that drink the good stuff will never venture there.

They have some older stuff in their back office they’ve pulled from the shelves because no one bought it. Soon as I can, I’m going hit them up.
