Today’s solo hike in Negley, O on the NCT. Got in 11miles on a real nice sunny day!!
This will be my last hike until Sunday when I will start my 286mile hike.
I will try to post pics every day!?!

Looking forward to reports and photos from your hike. Bear spray may not always your friend but a 45acp with 255gr hardcast loads is always your friend

Went to one of my favorite local spots yesterday. There’s no public parking but you can park in the bike path lot and ride down the street to the start of this little peninsula on a harbor. We have next to zero elevation anywhere here, but make up for it by being a mile or two from the ocean at all times lol

Fun rock to climb and take in the view while you soak up the wind and salt spray

been thinkin...how do ya do food on a hike that many weeks? I'm a short walker, so haven't considered on how to do long many weeks type hiking......

The wife is my support. We are staying at various hotels, Inns etc. As I move we change places to stay.She will drop me off at a trailhead then pick me up when I am done at another trailhead. Most meals will be eaten in restaurants etc. I didn’t want to get into the logistics of backpacking and doing the food, shelter thing.
Hope this makes sense??

Anxious, nervous, excited and probably a few others too!!
Only gotta go to sleep 1 more time then it all begins. Weather is looking good for most of the first week and that’s a plus.

naw no butterflys. nothing to be nervous about. youre basically a pro. ya walk more on a half day hike than I do in an entire month......

going to be nothing but good times, fresh air and nature all around ya. I'm jealous.....but im also too lazy to do that kind of hiking.

Once you start walking the butterflies will go away. I too am jealous of the drive, fortitude and physical conditioning you have to do this.
