  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

^^ That was strange, I had posted this yesterday, but when I came back to this thread it was "pending" or something, and just posted..

Here's from today, much nicer weather ~65° 60% humidity and no more Canadian fire smoke:

He was too distracted by all the pine-cone's to give a proper smile:

Went on a few hikes I haven't posted. I went on a 9 mile hike a few weekends ago, a 3.5 miler during the week roughly 2 weeks ago, and another 9 miler last weekend. Last weekend's hike was Indiana Dunes state park. It was a blast and I don't know why I've never been before.

Indiana Dunes state park and Indiana Dunes national park are right next to each other and somewhat interconnected. I don't think you can drive between them without exiting one park and entering another, but hiking between them is pretty easy. On my next visit I plan to explore the national park trails.

The knives carried were: Spyderco native salt LC200N, Victorinox ranger, and a White River ursus cub. Only the Victorinox saw any use. The small pen blade opened a box of gel bandages and the scissors trimmed KT tape to size before being applied to my foot.

All pictures are from this past weekend.
