It’s a Toor Dropwing at least I think that’s the correct model. I took my original Merchant (liner lock) by their booth because the lock fails and since they don’t make that model anymore they let me pick whatever I wanted out of their case and gave it to me. That’s the most similar knife to the Merchant so I figured I’d give it a try. They also told me how I might be able to adjust my Merchant to fix the lock. I’m comfortable using it as is but I don’t let anyone else handle it with the lock issue so I’ll probably tinker with it a bit now. I really wasn’t expecting them to give me a new knife so I have to say that’s pretty stand up customer service. The person I was talking to literally looked my old knife over, saw the problem and said “pick a new one. Also here’s what you can try to fix yours.” I appreciated them not messing with my old one since it’s not made anymore.

Wow, that's a hell of a good customer service experience, I'm impressed! And you got to keep the old one, nice! Yeah, probably just bend the linerlock over a little bit more and it'll take out the vertical play.

That’s what they said. It completely closes with moderate pressure so it could fold up on someone’s fingers if they weren’t paying attention. I discovered the flaw by accident but didn’t get cut. I grew up with traditionals so it doesn’t worry me much. With a normal grip there’s enough pressure on the lockbar that it’s probably not an issue anyway in regular use.
 
I didn't take as many pics as I should have. Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but Lynn Thompson had a booth with a bunch of Cold Steel-looking knives. But it wasn't a Cold Steel booth. It's his new line (I forget the name - maybe Lynn Thompson Tactical). They said they plan on releasing about 15 models in the fall and that their booth at Blade Show was the official announcement to the public. Prices were pretty comparable to old school Cold Steel prices.

Did you notice Kimber and Winkler Knives have a LE collab coming out, knife and maybe a .45 (but I may be wrong on that).

I just did a little looking into it and it looks like his new company is yeah, Lynn Thompson Tactical Knives. I haven't seen any products on the internet yet though.

Everything I saw looked like current or old Cold Steel models. All their fixed blades will have kraton handles. They have a version of the Ti-Lite for example. Except their large is going to be a 7" blade instead of CS's 6" Ti-Lite. And of course they have some different name for the model.

I asked the guy at the table, "So Cold Steel isn't going to have an issue with this?" His was response was "If they do that's their problem"

Uhh, that’s either A) a fake story or B) misinterpreted. I also was at that table and asked the same questions and was told by the entire team that the designs are all Lynn Thompson designs and yes, were also designs in production with Cold Steel (and originally designed by LT).

There are differences to the models, they are subtle, but most of it was small details to enhance the knives use in “combat scenarios”.

I only snagged one pic of the Venetian (Ti Lite) but some other models can be seen too. The Venetian will have G10 and San Mai when it goes into production.
