I recently ordered a Boattail scandi from BHK to use as an all-around utility knife for my landscape work, it looked stout and I've been eyeing it for a while. Never had a scandi and was eager to try it out.
USPS lost it. Because signature wasn't required USPS basically signed off on the responsiblity.(moral here is send knives signature required)
I called BHK to ask if they knew anything, and spoke to an employee who said she would check it out. I got a call back 10 minutes later from one of the owners (LT) who was genuinely concerned and asked me to keep him in the loop after I went down to the office and filed a complaint. Well, a week or so later the trail runs cold, so I was extremely bummed and called LT to tell him that the USPS didn't know what happened. He asked me if I would be happy with a Boattail in another color he happened to have in the shop, and of course, I was. I could tell he didn't want to dissapoint me and to tell you the truth I did not expect him to replace the knife, but I do want give back by posting this thank you and giving him and BHK the respect and praises they deserve. The knife is all I expected and the finish and sheath are top notch at this price point.
