Blog Update

I have been wanting a Scott eVest cotton hoody with all of the pockets but $70.00 is a stiff shot for a hoody. I know it has all of the pockets and doo-dad appeal, but it's still a hoody, after all. Perhaps I will get one some day. It would go great on cold days under my Woolrich Algerian. :)

40% off on select items, good through Monday. They just added hoodies.

The hoodies are $42.

If they view you as a VIP - it is more off. It's worth calling their 800 number, and sometimes ThinkGeek or Magellens have sales too.

I got a great deal on the the packable wind shirt.

I've been close to purchasing one of the scott's evests a couple times but the reviews on the garment quality are poor. It's disappointing. You listening Jeff? :D

I like the pants more than the jackets - but I own the Microfleece Hoodie, the Packable Wind Breaker, the Evolution Jacket, the Tec Shirt and the ball cap.

The microfleece and the evolution are very toasty when used together.

I bought it because it was on sale. It's a cap with an obvious pocket and a 'sekrit' pocket. I like it but tuck the zipper in the pocket.

The evolution jacket is very interesting because of the pockets.

A year later and I'm still finding new tricks with them.

If and only if you live where it gets cold would I recommend you layer with he micro fleece and a jacket.

The cotton and the packable windbreaker would give you an insane number of pockets and reduce the possibility of overheating.
