To all.
Handles are machined, blades are ground and at the engravers, clips are being coated all other parts are in house.
Looking real good for early June delivery thanks for waiting.
I am now going home to see if I am still married.
Thanks.
Vince.
P.S. IT LOOKS GREAT.

Vince,

If your wife needs any testimonials as to what a great bloke you are and how lucky she is to have you, just post here and I know you will get enough replies to make her wonder why she ever doubted you

As one of the many who are looking forward to this knife with much excitement, let me say how greatful we are for all the time and effort you have put into this project. Tell Sal that we said you're worth more

Thanks for the update Vince, we do appreciate your efforts. I'm conflicted though, on whether to use this knife or hang it on the wall ? Decisions, decisions. Gotta love it .
THANKS

Easy answer, Brian. Get two. Use one and hang the other.

Great job, Vince!

Tell the wife you made a lot of people happy. Some may have been saved from throes of the dreaded anticipation fever.

GREAT! Best news I've heard in a while.

Vince, I told Rad that we need to get 2 knives out to Mike at River City for the sheaths, so hopefully they will get there quickly.

From all of us, thanks for your hard work, and spend some time with your wife!

Vince,

Thank you. Tell your wife you've made a lot of people happy and then give her a hug and a kiss. Or just tell her you need a hug - they like to hear that! Hope domestic tranquility is restored.

Spark.
Will send two proto's on Monday so you can start the sheaths, dont forget to tell them the clip can fit on both sides not shure if this makes a difference.
For the rest of you guys, its Sunday 6.30am and I am back at work so my wife does understand she's GREAT.
Thanks.
Vince.
P.S. How many of you will be a Blade.

Vince,

I'll be at Blade and will definitely check out Spyderco's table! You'll know me by the Blues Natives carried in the left AND the right pockets.

Seriously, I'll leave one Native at home because I want a pocket to carry a SpyderCo prototype with me when I leave Blade, like a BIGGER NATIVE, or a MBCF or a RL Military...

I'll be in Atlanta. This will be my fourth one. The Spyderco booth is always the first one I check out so I'll see you around noon on Friday I imagine. I'll be the one with the %^&* eating grin on my face.

Thanks Vince;
Your post update made another "Native," happy -- waiting is always the hardest part when new toys are involved

I have two of these little babies on order one for me and one for Sarge_Hulse.We can't wait. We are still trying to make up our minds about ordering the sheathes. I'm afraid that it might slow delivery so I think I'll wait until we get the knives before ordering the sheathes.

It's pretty cool getting a blow-by-blow update on the status of a knife! I usually call or e-mail in an order and wait (un)patiently until the box arrives. This method makes the waiting a bit more exciting.

Thanks for update on BF Native; it helps curb the anxiety suffered from waiting for the big brown Xmas truck to arrive.
Not to gloat, but this has been extra good week as I got notified my J. Clark Meltdown has been shipped also(sorry about gun post, but I'm suddenly like 6 yr old on Xmas morning)
Anyway, your consideration for customers is greatly appreciated.

Ok guys, all this blue Native talk make me want to buy one! It would be a toss up between that and the Military......decisions, decisions... Which place can I still order one from or are they all sold out? Thanks for the help.

OH....oops, I should have clicked on the knife on the main page. Thanks for the help Danny C. I have another foolish question: what is a neck sheath? The diagram of it listed with the Native doesn't make any sense: please educate me.

Maddog2020,

The neck sheath is designed to allow you to carry the knife hanging around your neck, closed but ready for quick deployment. Have a look at Mike Sastre's sheath for the Military.

QUESTION on the BF Native:
Will it have the stainless steel spacer, similar to, say, the Wegner?

Also, I've heard rumors of the Native (standard) going to the CPM440V; is it planned for SS hangle, G10, or Zytel? Or can anyone say?

Thanks.
