Blur Regrind..

I love the way the Blurs look from the factory. I just get annoyed sharpening recurves.

i love recurves, but yes, they are annoying to sharpen.

Not if you have the wheels or a belt sander!

A sharpmaker tip for recurves...use sandpaper. The long sides on the top of the sharpmaker kit has rounded edges. Wrap a piece of sandpaper around the top, and put it back on the base. It will hold the paper in place. Then use edge trailing strokes on the rounded part of the top.

So easy a caveman could do it! :D

blah blah blah.... :p

I like to sharpen using this crazy unconventional technique of using diamond bench stones. I know this is a radical method but it works for me..unless of course we are talking about recurves which become annoying to sharpen. :D

Brad, i dont have a sharp maker, i dont have the wheels, just 4 bench stones, so i am with morrow_j, they are annoying :p

and niiiiiice burn TW!

Well, I did two S60V Blur's with the recurve removed, one S30V Blur with the recurve and my own S60V Blur with the recurve. I am TIRED of taking these apart and putting them back together!!

On to the next project!

THANKS!

Tom

Sorry, my request wasn't that clear. I was hoping for a picture of a reground blade with the recurve intact.

A knife knut without a Sharpmaker? What's wrong with this picture?

I guess anything can be "annoying" if you don't have the right tools.

I didn't realize a Sharp Maker was a required piece of equipment for knife users to own. Whatever did they do before these were invented? :p

I do have the right tools....for everything except recurves which brings us full circle back to why Tom has my knife. :D
