Blurple manix 2 in s110v

I cant wait to get my hands on one. The Manix is such a great knife. I need to start edcing my cru wear sprint while waiting lol

Dang, I rushed to order as soon as I got the email this morning that they were in stock at blade hq. I see they are sold out at BHQ now but still available at many other dealers. Definitely didn't have the mass rush like the PM2 did.

I've never held a pm2, but with how great my manix 2 xl is, the pm can't be that much better.

I passed on this one, as I already have 2x the LW version, but I will say, this is one of the first times BHQ has sent me the email in a timely enough fashion for me to catch it before it sold out.

Congrats to anyone who scored one!!

I ordered one as soon as the email from BladeHQ came in. I didn't want to wait too long and then spend the next month tracking one down like I had to do with the PM2.

Like the person that posted above said, I was surprised that they actually had it in stock when the email was sent out. Kudos!

I love the LW Manix 2 with S110V. This should just give me another one for the rotation.

Picked up a blurple manix2. The blurple doesn't bother me. It's fairly dark in low light anyway.

I think the PM2 is more popular because it's so much slimmer folded up.

My EDC is an Endura so that doesn't matter much to me.

I love the strong detent the ball lock's spring gives the knife. I can put a Manix2 in a coat pocket and not worry about grabbing a knife edge.

Still need to pick one of these up. I think the blurple came out a little darker than the PM2s.

Just got the blurple Manix in S110V but I think mine is a little thick behind the edge - at the ricaso it is about 0,6 mm (0,023 in), at the tip it goes up to about 0,7 mm (0,027 in).

Can anyone here measure the thickness on their Manix and post it?

I was going to start my own thread, but I was trying to avoid the "search bar is your friend" replies, and how to use the search bar, etc, lol.
so sorry for digging up an old thread, I know people dont like that either, so its a lose/lose scenario. haha

I have had a Manix 2 since the BHQ M4 with natural scales came out.
That was my first Manix 2.
I thought it was an OK knife. I like the blade size and shape, and it can slice, but the action wasnt too good on mine.
It wasnt even close to free swinging, and not easy to flick open or swing shut.
It kept me from further Manix models.

Fast forward to this past xmas, my wife purchased me a blue manix 2 with s110v steel, and its night and day difference.
This thing is so smooth with the action. Its a totally different knife from the factory.

Now I would like the red one when DLT comes out with it, but if the QC on these is that off, im not sure.
Is it pretty normal to find differences like that among the same knife but different scales/blades?

I would rather not have another one like the M4 one, but rather like the s110v.

I have not disassembled the M4 one, as I dont want to void the warranty or mess anything up worse. It seems with that lock that its a bit more than just taking the scales off.

Thanks.

Yes it's fairly common that the variations have different action, though certainly all are serviceable.

My only Manix is the M4 one and the action is great, not free shutting but close, and it flicks easily with some wrist input.

I experienced more variations in terms of action.with the CBBL on Manix 2 than the compression lock on PM2

Don't you feel just a BIT of a fruitcake saying "blurple"?

Yikes.

I can't believe grown men are repeating that "word."

Here's an insurance we should defer to our women. Women can see a lot more colors than we can. (and we can detect motion better; a carry-over from our hunter/gatherer days)

I don't own one, so I'd defer to someone who does, especially a woman. But "blurple"? We can do better than that. ;-)

As a former US Army soldier and Drill Sergeant, I'm not concerned about how masculine I appear to others. If the term works, it works. I have a blurple Manix and it has been my EDC for 3-4 months now. It's like my 6th Manix so obviously I love the design. I haven't really challenged the super steel yet but everything is good so far. I was actually planning on buying some of the other blurple Spydies... but I guess I will be in line for one of the red Manix first!
