BM 940: What do all of you think about them?

I never got around to getting the Black handled 942. I personally don't care for black blades. I think a satin finish 942 may be my next purchase.

Nice trio, Ken! The blue handled 940 (Oct 2000 KOTM) is my favorite. I love that shade of blue, very eye catching.

Now, if I can convince BM to do a 940 with CF scales and a BC coated blade....

I'm sorry, this is off topic, but I thought I should tell you. The picture in your sig line does not work. I checked where it's linked to, and I see that you link it to your hard drive. So when you post, you can see the image in your sig line, but no one else can. You have to put your image on a web server somewhere if you want us to be able to see it. Otherwise, our browsers are trying to load that image off of our hard drives.

I really like the blue KOTM 940 also. Oct. is my birthday month so I might have to see if I can find one of these a little later on after I make sure that I like the knife.

Does anyone know if the blue or red handled 940's are still available? If so, where? I sure like those colored handles, and the 940 is my favorite Benchmade knife.

I'm not really 100% sure about this but I don't think you can get the red or blue handles directly from BM anymore. I think they were a special run and sold out. I think that it is much harder to find a red one than it is a blue one. Hope this helps.

IMO, it's the best Axis knife.

I got it today. I really like it so far. I haven't cut anything with it yet but it is very sharp. I like the handle shape and how light it is. Oh yea I almost forgot it is just a regular green plain edge 940. Off to play with it some more.
