Hey guys! I have a very special blade up on the trading block today. I'm not totally for sure on trading this one yet but figured I'd list it to see if any or what offers are out there. This one is just not pushing all the right buttons for me at the moment despite its near perfection, but that could change.
THE KNIFE: BNIB Rockstead Higo with DLC coated YXR7 blade steel, bought from an online dealer. Number 409 at a Rockwell hardness of 64. I am not looking to sell as of now so please do not ask. If you're looking at this thread there's a good chance you already know about Rocksteads reputation. This thing is damn near flawless and the perfect polish on the blade and edge is somehing that has to be seen in person to be appreciated. Here is a nice short review of the knife by The Edge Observer although he reviews the zdp-189 version, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JWcWMa9tmtw. On some high end folders from various companies, the hype can exceed the knife. With Rockstead this is not the case, they absolutely deserve all the praise they get IMO. Comes with box, papers, and patch. Techno and Umnumzaan are for scale ONLY.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: I will consider any and all offers so feel free to send them my way! I am not interested in fixed blades though, only folders. If you have a "Naked" Grimsmo Norseman we pretty much have a trade. Same goes for a Silencerco/Hinderer blacked out Bowie collab. A Shirogorov Hati has also recently piqued my interest. Interested in various other high end folders, prefer one for one trade, but I am very open minded when it comes to knives and have a wide range of taste. Please be realistic.
