Tried something new last night, seeing as the fiance` wanted to try them and I am trying to eat healthier. We had TURKEY BURGERS!!! I know blasphemy right? But in all actuality they were quite delicious and I was surprised.

I may have found a new dinner item if I can just find the right vegetables and side dishes. I could do baked fries, but am trying to avoid the carbs at night.

This is a great way to achieve better flexibility: http://www.dragondoor.com/dv007.html
Any one of the books and/or DVD's by Pavel Tsatsouline will help a great deal. even more so if you are a fighter.

This weekend has been good, and bad for me. I went to Denver, Colorado for some Muay Thai kickboxing fights that three of the people I train with were in. I ate pretty bad that night (it'd been about 2 months since I'd had a nice burger and we stopped at a well known Denver establishment.) BUT! Seeing my friends in the ring with amazing muscles and looking amazing, it made me want to get into that shape. My goal now is to get into a Muay Thai fight early next year. So that means I need to eat better, train harder, and become more flexible!

Anyone have any tips for flexibility stretches? I've never been good at those.

I'll update weight in the morning.

Thanks!

EDIT: Weight as of Sunday morning was 193.00 lbs. WOOT!

I love blackened t-burgers, same with t-bacon; great tasting stuff.

veggie riblets are great on an onion roll with swiss cheese and bavarian style sauerkraut.

My lifestyle changes are now pretty much habit. I don't have to really think about WHAT I eat anymore, only HOW MUCH. I eat lots and lots of carbs, and get my protein solely from plant sources. Dairy, eggs, meat, fish, chicken, seafood, etc, are all out. I have much more energy now that I did when I started. I used to get home after work and be so exhausted I couldn't get anything done. I could barely keep my eyes open, and often went to sleep at 8 or so because I was too tired. The dogs are enjoying the new lifestyle also because they get daily walks in the desert, or if it's too late and already dark they'll settle for a walk around the neighborhood. My wardrobe has been completely replaced due to the baggy pants and shirts being too uncomfortable. That got a bit expensive, but since I have a long ways to go I'm not buying anything more than I absolutely need in the clothing department. I don't have indigestion anymore, I sleep better and wake up refreshed. I'm taking it easy on the weightlifting as I tend to bulk up really quickly and I don't want to look like a freak. :D

Keep up the great work everyone. Your progress and stories are encouraging.

I like swapping deer for beef (any meat you have to add oil to for cooking is good in my book). Although since we slaughtered the long horn beef has been good too. Had grilled chicken and pork chops the other day.

Are you Hercules reincarnate? You have all the toys and now you can bench press 360#. Say it ain't so!

I have low levels of myostatin. This means that my muscles grow abnormally large with little effort. I could out arm wrestle my dad when I was 11. I used to go to the gym with my friends, but after a few months I couldn't find any pants that fit anymore, so I gave it up. Myostatin deficiency is not all fun and games.

One more example...

When I was going to a physical therapist last year following an ATV accident in which I dislocated my shoulder, he had me try out his grip strength test. I hit 210# with my right hand and 190# with my left. I guess all this typing really pays off! LOL! :D

.... you lucky duck, lol they are creating drugs right now for bodybuilders to reperduce the same condition you suffer from. I know many who go to great lengths to stimulate their bodys for the effects of such genetics

I've been without excercise for a week due to my shoulder (which is still not better), and I'm still losing weight. I'm pretty content with my meals though without the excercise my take in sort of naturally dropped. I'm now at around 1300 kcal per day without ever feeling hungry.

One occasion I missed a snack, got hungry, and ran into 1800 kcal that day ... not good.

Note to myself: make sure to get snacks, don't get hungry ...

It's nice to see ya'll going strong. I'm holding steady at 148 right now and want to drop this last 8 lbs! Don't forget we're available if you have any problems or questions.
