Hi, just want to correct this from my experience, got this knife couple of weeks ago from BladeHQ. In the begining it was bad. Could NOT flip correctly and the pivot screws was loose. So i tightened the pivot screws a little not too hard and the knife hardly comes out when you tried to flip it. I opened up this knife like 20 times. The solution to all the problems would be:
1) If you flip the bearings opposite of what this picture is showing on both sides of the blade,(the bearing should not look like this) the screws can be tightened and the flipping is smooth as it should be. And when you see the gab will be smaller and the blade is centered.
2) all the stands are not the same lenght, out of the 4 stands, 1 was longer, i did this with a caliper. So, i put the 2 same lenght stands on the blade frame and use the the othe 2 for the pocket clip. When putting the blade back, tighten the screws and the pivot equally. Not to tighten it one after another.
I got this because i can't wait for the one I ordered from Gus to arrive.
My knife is sn#0620.
The irregularities is because probably in the assembly line, the bearing face was not installed properly.
This is the experience with this one knife so if you guys are facing the same problem after getting it new, try this first.
I almost screwed up my knife(this one) trying to figure out the problem.
If you want to sand off the finishing on the frame, you can do it over the CF inlays as well. it wont get scratched. I have sanded it with 400, 800 sponge and then 2000g and later polished it with flitz. It has a satin finish like the blade now.
How do i post pics?
just a little heads up if your knife turns up like my after you open the box
