My recently released Boker Kwaiken CF flipper finally arrived today. A while back I sold my regular Ti scaled version in anticipation of this one because I thought it was too heavy, the scales were too slick, and didn't really like that the blade was AUS-8. This knife improves on all of those faults and I am really pleased with it.
The CF scales are very nice and while not grippy, they are certainly better than having smooth Ti scales. The blade steel is upgraded to VG-10 and the knife is a full ounce lighter than its predecessor. And the icing on the cake is that this one flips better than my other one. I think it is because the detent is not as strong (but strong enough). I still think that the flipper tab on these knives are a bit small and would benefit from some jimping but my new one is much easier to get started. As far as appearances go, I love the stonewashed blackwash blade and how the dark CF scales contrast with the lighter titanium liners.
Since I haven't seen any owner pictures of this knife I thought I would post some.
Anyone else have one of these yet or planning on ordering one? I think this one's a keeper for sure!
