Boker Kwaiken CF Flipper Arrived

I just received mine today # 257. I am not happy with how far the blade is off center, Otherwise the knife seems very nicely done.
Contacted BHQ, to do a return exchange, but they are out off stock, and are not sure if they will get any more.

Would any one have any tip on getting blade centered. It lays up against the lock side, I tried loosening the pivot, but when blade found center, it was far to loose to live with.
Any help would be appreciated. hate to give up a nice knife

Loosen all the screws including the pivot, put the blade at 90 degrees to the frame and tighten the pivot till its tight. Close the blade and hold the blade to the side you want it to go while you tighten all the frame screws. Once all the screws are tight, loosen the pivot and it should be centered. If that doesn't do it then I'm not sure what to tell ya :p

Just got mine today, i think its a fine knife. Most of the imperfections have been covered. A little minor chipping around the screw holes which can be lightly sanded away fairly easily. Blade is just the tiniest bit off center but not enough to bother me. Other than that the Carbon Fiber is really nice, its flips great with little pressure, and i dig the pocket clip. For 145 bucks this thing feels like a big win.

Love the "Smokewash" finish on my new Kwiken CF Flipper. Does anyone know how this finish is applied??? Thanks for your help.

I picked one of these up awhile ago but had not had a chance to play with it. Overall the quality is good, couple small chips in the CF around the pivot screw. Detent is good, lockup is 50/50 and rock solid, flips pretty nice (I still prefer good bushings and tolerances to bearings).

Blade grind is ugly though, at first I thought it was just off center, but looking at the gaps in the strait part of the blade to say 2/3 of the way to the tip, it's centered, but the final angle grind to the tip is way off of being center-line with the blade making the tip look off center.

If this knife had peel-ply CF and some jimping so it actually had some grip, and Ti liners/slabs to cut the weight way down (normally I'm not a weight snob but this knife feels twice as heavy as it looks like it should be) and premium blade steel, it would be a total knockout, even with a significant price hike. As it is, it's alright for the $.

Got mine in today. I must say I'm shocked how much I like this. I received #564 and it has perfect centering, perfect detent, super smooth, and zero blade play, shaving sharp as well. It sounds like the quality is kind of hit or miss with these but man, I would recommend this knife to EVERYBODY if they all came like this.
