I recently inherited an older Boker stockman which had a broken main blade. I sent it to Boker USA a month ago with a note that I would prefer to get it repaired, but would accept a replacement. Today I received it back, untouched, with a form note about parts no longer being available. After the personal experiences I've had with other makers, and the stories from others on this forum, this is truly sub-par performance. I'll not be buying or recommending Boker from here on out.

Send e-mail to Boker in Germany and I am sure they will take care of you. I had only good experince with them. Their customer service here in Europe is outstanding. Please do not judge the whole company from your one negative experience.

I may just do that. I sent the US company a nasty-gram yesterday. If I get no response, I'll write to Boker in Germany. Thanks!

Update:

Had a discussion with Boker Customer Service. The problem with the old stockman was clearly outside the realm of the warrantee. They let me buy a replacement at a substantial savings (a lot better price than any internet dealer!), and we're happy now. Love the new knife so much I've bought a few more!
