I just found this thread, and read through every post. I have owned 2 GEC knives for some time, and just recently bought only my second Boker Solengen. The first being a copperhead, and now a scout. In my opinion, both the Boker knives are absolutely dead on par, and in some aspects a little better than the GEC knives I own. The fit, finish and lock up are exceptional, and silky smooth. As a plus, they're also actually available to buy, unlike the GEC.
