Thanks fellas. Didnt weigh it yet. came home and just threw all the fish on ice. Too tired... SO tired. LOL

Will weight it before cleaning it tomorrow though. Im guessing close to 8 pounds.

During the day i never catch anything close to this size, but at night the bigger ones come out to play!!

No insult intended. I just don't know any eight pound bass songs.

Awesome bass WW. My father law was a very avid and respected bass fisherman back in the day. He had a largemouth mounted on his hunting cabins wall years ago that he caught in Florida ironically 30 years ago. It was just over 13 lbs. Freaking thing was a monster. Remembering the size of it though I'd say your being modest on your guess. I bet that sucker is closer to 10lbs. Nice catch indeed. Bet it was fun realing in!

My steel urges have been in the forms of guns and vehicles. So just buy your axe and be happy. :p

I need to, haha. Funds are a little tight right now though, unless I sell something. I'm interested in the Council Tool Wood-Crafter:

Beautiful Bass Worldwood! I am a bass fisherman. My favorite one to chase. Here in Colorado our Black Bass take twice as long to reach maturity as Florida.

The bigger ones are hard to find here. Our state record is only 11 pounds.

That fish could potentially reach that size in 4 or 5 years there in Florida. 9 or 10 years here. That's why I eat Trout and Sunfish these days and release all my bass. I sure did fry a lot of those suckers up when I lived in Oklahoma.

The sunfish I catch could be bait for yours too. :D

Thanks guys. A great night for sure. Something i wont soon forget thats for certain!!

Nice fish.

I was guessing 6 ~ 8, that's an old bass, nice catch!

Yea he been around for a while. Fished this same area all my life and we never knew there were fish this size in this creek.

Wow. 13lbs is something!! I would mount that joker as well. Honestly id mount this one if it didnt cost so much to do it. He will get eaten.

I was trying to be modest about it. He felt about 50lbs pulling him in HAHA
Nice bass WW! I bet that sucker put up a helluva fight.

Yessir a hell of a fight. When he jumped out the water and i seen the size my heart skipped a beat.

Really i throw most bass back. Great fight, loads of fun and they taste pretty good too... But i prefer to eat catfish and bream/sunfish honestly. And if i have enough of them in the bucket i dont bother with the bass too much. After the last one i caught the other day that was 3.5lbs i figured i needed to go back and see just what really is living in this little creek. Now i know, there are some monsters. No way i caught the biggest one in there either, so ill be trying some more.

Im going back this morning, but fishing for bream. Fishing is a drug!! Im addicted.

Long time no snark. Been busy with orders and stock for BLADE. Will be very relieved to get there this year. Take a breath. Drink a beer. Or two, three, four hundred! :-)
Some stuff gettin done. Got this one ready for the table today. I've seen every knife under the sun at BLADE. But you hardly ever see the kris.

I hate to be a kris-ass, but that is gorgeous! I'm assuming that is curly Maple, but the way the grain pops and how it is perfectly aligned makes it almost look something like stacked leather washers.

Too cool.

As most of you know, this is my 2ND time going to bladeshow, I am sharing a booth with Steve Johnson, we'll be in booth 405 and it is also my 1st time doing a knife show, here is what I made and taking to the show,

Dammit man!! Looking great bro! What's the steel and thickness used on the hatchets? Sweet designs!!

The bass turned out to be 7lbs 9oz. A little less than i expected actually but a great catch none the less.

Caught these today... Gave them to my buddy's father... I have to go buy a deep freezer because im running out of room for fish.. And im the only one willing to eat it about every day LOL

Me and the wife will be going out for our 11th anniversary this weekend and then she works the following weekend so im trying to fish as much as i can before our trip.

Leaving friday to Tampa and staying till Sunday. Got a very nice hotel room with a private beach and im taking her to Bush Gardens. She has never been and it worked out since they had a special of 50% for veterans till the end of the month.

Worldwood, I used 80crv2 and 1/8" stock, I think my next batch I might go with 5/32" or 1/4". I was mainly going for fast light duty camp Hawk on these.

You probably need to raise it up at least 1 8" concrete block high. If you get a toad choker, the hive will flood. Not good for the bees. 2 or 3 blocks high will make it easier on your back when working the hive.

I set them on blocks that pic was at the capture site not the apiary

A few Beckerheads have sampled my mead and seem to be in approval of my work[emoji6]
