Thanks for the note, but only up here for a one off thanksgiving with the family. No skiing in the schedule but I see the snow makers on the mtn.

Have you had any problems with the center column on the knuckle guard? I used a hacksaw to chop it out on mine. Added on some grip tape (LizardSkins) , and it's so much more comfortable.

No the center column doesn't bother me at all, fits very well for my hand. I'm still jonesing for a 1918 trench knife though.

No the center column doesn't bother me at all, fits very well for my hand. I'm still jonesing for a 1918 trench knife though.

My problem was that I punch with my wrist cocked forward, so the first two knuckles take the impact, and when I did that with the knife in hand the center collum drove into my finger. Worked great if I angled my wrist back to normal.

I'm with you on that. Old trench knives are kinda sexy.
