I talked to Roger this evening and he is not set up to post pictures here yet. I asked him if I could do it for him and he said that would be fine. His partner is Ken of Blue Creek Cutlery.
Following is a start of his Maher and Grosh knives:
WOW!! Love those etches and the knives are just stunning! Lyle, thanks so much for your kindness in bringing us these lovelies:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:. Roger, I can't thank you enough for the look!!!
Lyle, those are stunning! Each one is like a window back in time. I can't believe how many original surfaces we are seeing and I really love the grinds, swedges and typeface on those etches!! Beautiful.
Just beautiful! Lyle, we certainly appreciate all of your time and efforts sharing these with us.
To say my curiosity has been piqued would be an understatement. I can only hope their future endeavors are inline with what we have just seen
Ever the fan of the old wonky and over the top etches, I just couldn't resist the call of the Ebony. Order placed. Besides, I really needed another M&G to keep this ol' girl company
I'm enjoying the show!! I especially, like the "Colorado Stock Knife". I've owned a few of the Maher & Grosh 2- and 3-blade surveyor knives but unfortunately mine weren't nearly as well preserved.
Uh oh, Lyle found a new one . Thanks for all the pics, lotsa effort there. The etchings are wonderful, but wow-those swedges fan-freakin'-tastic! This may be a dumb question, but the first knife in post 43, the knife with blades on opposite sides, is that a single spring or are there two? No huge deal, just a little curious about construction on that one. Oh yeah the bolster rings on the Kentucky Bowie and your Farmers Jack are pretty fine, although the fj bolster is almost all rat-tail.
Thanks, Neal
