We raise our own meat rabbits. The poop and spent hay goes right on the garden. Since it is a cold fertilizer it does not need to be composted before use.

We grow all kinds of stuff. I don't know everything we grow since I rarely touch the garden. Amanda is all about it and hasn't failed me yet so I let her go nuts. Lets just say we should have enough to get us through the winter and then some. If we can build up our rabbit stock and one of us get a deer this fall we should have enough meat in the freezer to last a while.

Well, my little fat buddy (Nobs, dog, same one who had some issues with tossing his cookies and having a squirting bazooka butt a while back) now has a stopped up anal sac. :barf: We got it loosened up a bit, but we're still taking his to the vet tomorrow. I don't think he'll be able to sleep in my bed tonight like he normally does. :eek:

My first question upon seeing how it had to be "loosened up" was

Me: "Wait, humans don't have anal sacs do they?"

Dad: "No, thankfully..."

Me: "Oh, thank goodness."

I had to learn to "express" the anal glands on one of our dogs since i happened too often to take them to the vet every time. Probably one of the worst smells ever. Thank goodness for nitrile gloves! Good luck with the pooch!

Yeah, it's nasty. Do you do it just by kinda pushing and then pushing up, or do you.. erm.. "enter" and then kinda grab it and squeeze it out?

Since there has been some gross stuff in here lately....

Index finger goes in, light squeeze between index finger and thumb. One is at about 10 or 11 o'clock and other about 1 or 2 o'clock. Have to be careful you don't rupture them or then you really need a vet. I've heard that you can do it from outside, but the vet always did it from inside and suggested I do the same since you have more control and can better tell how much pressure you're using.

That reminds me I should really start looking around for bows. Would like to try hunting deer with a bow this year. I havent shot one since was a teenager so sure im going to need some practice. :rolleyes: Im tired of hunting in below zero weather. Didnt end up getting anything last year.
 
We did it from the outside. If it continues to happen we'll probably have to start doing it the other way though. :barf: :barf: :barf:

For future reference, any of y'all who have PS3s want me to add you when I get mine? If so post or email your PSN name. Should have it up and running by Saturday evening if all goes as planned. The PS3 has Uncharted 3, Black Ops II, WWE 2K14, and Skyrim: Legendary Edition. 9 other games too, but none that I plan on keeping. I'm gonna trade the 9 others that I don't want to Gamestop and then hopefully get enough money from them to buy at least enough PSN cards to buy Destiny: Digital Collectors Edition, and maybe an extra controller if the funds permit. I might see if I have any old Wii games I want to get rid of too...
