I had originally typed Mothmon by accident just now.. Immediately had a mental image of Mothman with dreadlocks and one of those poofy Jamaican rainbow hats.

And can anyone tell me if these are actually Chicken of the Woods? We found them and were going to cook 'em but we were scared of getting diarrhea so we tossed them.

Also, they had pores on the bottom instead of gills.

I get an itchy clicker finger every time I see one on the trade blanket...then I remember I'm broke...and vacation is next week so I'm double broke...hope to snatch one up this fall. That's the exact one I got my eye on. Lemme know if it doesn't work out !

My stepdad told me he found some mushrooms the size of beachballs/basketballs and ate them. Dont know if they were the same kind but would have to guess they are. Said they didnt taste great but edible and if cooked right sure you could make them taste descent.



Id deepfry them probably.

Nos. Dont eat stuff from the woods bud. Unless you got a real expert with you it just aint worth the risk. I have taken classes for wild edibles, bought and read books, been on wild walk-abouts... I still dont eat random stuff in the woods. Even some things im positive are fine to eat.. I still dont. I dont want my kids copying me.

Unless your in a real survival situation, its best to just get lunch from your fridge!

Finishing up my 15 stuff. Excited to get the tape off - last coat of finish just now and tomorrow a fluff-n-buff.

Noswad: Mushrooms + experimentation = possible death. Not just diarrhea....'shrooms are one of those things that unless you're with someone who knows their shizznit are best left alone. One of the very few things in the Northeast that can kill you if you don't know what you are doing.

Guys, I found another kind of mushroom. It grows in cow pies and looks a little gross, but it should be fine to eat, right? I'll wash them off first if that would help, but I think the extra cow poo might add some flavor.

You did good not eating those shrooms, if not sure dont eat. As said not sure the same species as someone once told me they ate but they are defiantely the same size as they said.

Ive eaten mushrooms out of cellars, and things like rotten orange peelz with toothpaste on them cause of people like me making suggestions when I was a kid. I really should be dead. Please ignore what I say.

I was just kidding about the cow crap shrooms. I know they can mess you up lol, I know not to eat stuff that I'm not 100% sure about too.
