Boss, Jerry, Janitor!! Will there be a NMFSH-CG and if so ...

Seriously guys, the Red is not under Jerry's name on my computer. I've been hacked .... ? Hogs are out? I wish I were kidding, but there is no Red "Moderator" under Jerry's name on my computer. WTF?

It all depends on how well the LE version sells, again that's my guess, if the LEs sell well there maybe CG versions coming out in the future however if not you may never really know.... that's why Busse knives usually come out LEs first then followed by CGs;)

Except that Jerry said there was only a very limited number of LE to sell. They may have sold out in a few minutes. Who knows?

Captain oblivious time. Does CG mean thicker than regular or coated

CG just means combat grade, which means not LE at least. No other strict definition, but historically CGs don't have satin finishes and are not numbered. It's a different pricing tier and nothing more--of course to get a lower price on it you have to do things differently, and that's why people commonly attribute coatings to CG knives. However, the CG Boss Jacks came with a double cut option, and there are many coated custom shop and limited (serially numbered, but not necessarily released as LE models) knives.

There's been no consistency in thicknesses of CG vs. LE models. Sometimes the two are so different that their feeling in the hand and even uses end up being different as well. There may be a trend in that the LEs of the Boss Jack and BWM were thinner and had saber grinds, but still no concrete "formula."

I tried for one of the LE last night..not sure if I got in in time.
I'm happy with the LE satin finish because if there was a CG offered at some later time, I'd just want to strip the coating anyway.
