Has anyone done any business with this supplier. I noticed there prices for the Commander is 125 bucks. Are they a wholesaler or a dealer or both. Other prices I have seen for the Commander is right up around 170 bucks. Any info is appreciated. Any word as to how there service is if anyone has dealt with them would be appreciated. Keep'em sharp

Recommend you do a Botach search in "Good Bad Ugly" forum. You will find many, many references to Botach. :barf:

If you do decide to order from them, call first and confirm that they have the item in stock. Otherwise they may charge your cr. card right away and then let you wait half of forever for eventual shipping when it does come in.

On the bright side, I haven't had a problem with them myself, and their prices are great.

This company has had an awful lot of bad things said about them, but there are a lot of people that have had nothing but good experiences when dealing with Botach.

I recommend that you follow Esav's advice and make sure that they have the item/s that you are after in stock and if you do decide to order from Botach, let us know how things work out.

Hey,neighbor I have had only good experiances with them! I got my CQC7 from them plus many other things no problem.

Ps.How'd you make out this season? We still got over 20 d-map permits left for the farm.;)

Botach was the worst online buying experience I have ever had! Service sucked, they couldn't keep track of what was going on, and worst of all they expected me to pay for their mistakes! Lame...

Yeah call them first and make sure they have exactly what you want in stock.

I bought a Commander from them and had no problem. I've order a few other things as well and had no problem except when they don't have it in stock.

Good luck,

S.

I've placed four orders there and have had no problems. That said, I've read all kinds of horror stories about advance charging on backorders and delayed shipping. One of my items, a Galco holster, was backordered, but I called and pestered them enough that I got it pretty quickly.

Like I said, Botach has never screwed me over, but I do call to verify items are "in stock." Then, I place an on-line order. Some of the sales reps don't speak the best English, and I've read that the actual store is ridiculously unorganized. I think that the online order helps because everything is spelled out in black and white, right down to item numbers.

Their prices are great, and their sales are even better. If you have tactical lights (Surefire, Streamlight), about twice a year they have some of the best sale prices on lithium batteries out there.

i have ordered a time or 2 and just MAKE SURE THEY HAVE IT or they will charge CC and ya can wait a while - i havent fooled w/them for a while but they used to have a lot of neat stuff, priced kinda high imho for whatever its worth - that is a heck of a price on a commander, i dont recall having seen much less than $150, and i looked before i bought mine (or actually, traded for mine...)

Bad....no, horrible experience here!

It is a real roulette wheel dealing with those morons.

They sell real low by ordering high quantity. If they dont have it in stock, they will charge your credit card and make interest off your money until they have enough of the same item ordered.

They did this to me with a Trijicon site. They lied about it too. They said that the particular model I wanted was out of stock at the factory so I called Trijicon and confirmed the BS.

I have seen alot here on the forums who say that they have had a positive experience with Botach. Well, if you have a problem with them, then it is a real problem, one that they are not willing to resolve.

how ironic. i was just about to post the same. kickass prices on the lagriffe and commander. cheap enough that i'd be willing to buy them without prior handling. hey, if i don't like it, i'm sure it could be unloaded here on the forums.

but now i'm not so sure about this place :(

I have had my share of problems with Botach. However, if the price is much better than anyone else (Emerson Comander, for example) I will still buy from them.

The one thing I don't understand is how it can be a problem if they charge your credit card even if they are out of stock. If I get my credit card bill, and I am charged for something I have not yet received, I write a note to the card company and refuse to pay until I have received the product. The major credit card companies all support the consumer (you!) in these instances.

Well fellas and ladies so far so good. They have done everything
they said they were gonna do when they were gonna do it. Rec. a confirmation email with a UPS tracking#. Shipped Fri. Hopefully will have it at the end of next week. Should be a green handled G10. I won't start tracking it until Thurs. When I ordered it I asked them about the problems they have had in the past. The fella on the other end said they run into problems when they don't have items in stock. He assured me they had the Commanders in stock. I also asked him not to s___t me either. We shall see Keep'em sharp

Cheap prices will always attract new blood. Butt not mine. Twice bitten, forever shy.

There are safer bets than these longshots.

These guys are morons! Don't deal with them! It's like John says "where there is smoke, there's fire!':barf:

DO NOT ORDER FROM BOTACH TACTICAL. Ever. If I could singlehandedly drive these thieves out of business I would feel like I accomplished something in life.

Mr. Moderator, can you make this thread sticky so it stays at the top of GB&U? These are exactly the type of thieving, low-life scum that new buyers need to be made aware of. They lure the unsuspecting in with "too good to be true" prices, take your money, then lie about it. "We never got your order." (Then how did you know to charge my credit card?) "Your order is on hold because we never got your payment" (Um, what about the credit card charge?) "We are so sorry we don't know how this could have happened do you still want the merchandise?" (Then how come every other person on the Internet has a horror story about dealing with you?)

They do NOT answer their phone or their "RealPerson" chat line 99% of the time. And when/if they do, they do NOT speak English (which should be a requirement for front line support people), they ARE rude, and they hang up on you when they get bored with jerking you around. They lie, cheat, and steal. What more could you want in a vendor? :barf:

I finally sicced PayPal on them. I may get my money back. The local (LA) BBB has been sicced on them in the past, and they actually have a bad writeup by the BBB (which I guess is hard to get them to do).

I have been doing mail- and Internet ordering for over 15 years, and this single transaction is enough to make me swear off of it. I truly pity the young, unsuspecting knife buyer who encounters them as their first (attempted) purchase. It could turn one off of knives (or whatever else Blowtach [allegedly] sells) forever.

I wish I could say that made me feel better.
