I have up for trade two knives: a very modern, and a very traditional.

First, the modern folder: It is the SMKW Lava Flow PM2 in glorious M4 steel. It includes the box, paperwork, sticker, etc.
I would love to call this LNIB, but I am not the original owner, so I do not feel I can do that. But on the other hand, I can find no flaws in this knife’s condition. Centering is virtually dead on. I have attempted to take lots of close-up photos, and also the video. Also, the color of the scales in the video came out a bit muted. I am not sure why that happened….

Next up is a Corsican Vendetta knife, in fragrant Juniper from the legendary French artisanal cutlers, Fontenille-Pataud. You can read all about it on their website here: https://www.fontenille-pataud.com/e...can-vendetta-traditional-range-juniper.html#/

I got this knife at an estate sale, and I consider it an absolutely beautiful piece. That said, it is not without some flaws. The most prominent flaw is that when the previous owner tried to sharpen it, he/she took off a little bit of the ricasso (worse on one side than the other. Also, there is a very small amount of gapping where wood meets metal. The blade centering is almost dead on, which is (in my experience) rare for these guys. The spring has F-P’s characteristic hand-filed guillochage, and that shape on the mouche is the island of Corsica itself. In case you’re wondering, the design is a collaboration between F-P and the Zuria brothers, knife-designers in Corsica, but the knife itself is a true Fontenille-Pataud, made in their workshop in Thiers.

I have the box and papers, but if there was ever a sheath/slip, I do not have it.
In the photos I have tried hard to really focus on the flaws. What may have gotten lost is that, besides those flaws, it really is a beautiful piece!

So, make me an offer! I am into all kids of folders, primarily American- or European-made (but due to local regulations, I have no use for assisted models). I love ZTs. I am also into guitar stuff and bicycle stuff, FWIW.
If you make me an offer that I do not want, I won’t call you hurtful names; I'll just politely decline.
