Pinnah- My 110 shaved hair when I bought it. I got it a lot better though. Had I not sharpened it, it still would have done the job on a deer. I started learning sharpening in 72' when my dad was a USDA inspector at the Hormel plant. Every time I'd hand him a broadhead or knife I had worked on, he'd say it wasn't up to snuff, lol! After what must have been 10 years, I started to get good, and he'd have me sharpen his knives. I'm a lot better now, but it has taken 44 years. A few years ago, my new neighbor advised I bring my knives and broadheads to him if I wanted them sharp. I handed him my Vanguard and warned him not to put any pressure on the edge. He felt the edge and got a surprised look on his face. He said he had never felt an edge that sharp in his 47 years of hunting! He went into the house and brought me 5 knives to sharpen for him, lol! I suppose I'm not satisfied with factory edges, because all I heard growing up was my edges were not quite good enough!
