Bought my first Opinel (Pics P.3)

My No. 7 that has sat dormant for a while and now is back in full service!

Congrats!!
A nice dark colour goes well with the carbon blade once it has developed a patina.
Enjoy.

I have the handle lacquered up now. And the blade is highly polished.

They do get sharp don't they !!!

Until you have owned one for a while it is impossible to understand how much knife you are getting for the money.

Does look good Ferahgo I must admit. That Civil War re-enactment scene sounds fascinating, I'd love to get involved in something like that, and I'd say you have the perfect type of folder there for the job. Reckon it'll develop it's own patina over the duration of that particular conflict. Best of luck with your endeavours my friend.

Looks great! Get that patina on ;)
These Opinels are a slippery slope. A lonely carbon no.6 was my one & only for quite awhile...somehow it multiplied...I'm missing a 7 and 12 now. Must remedy.

Say! A Svord friction folder (top and bottom)may add a bit of old timey coolness to your reenactment attire?

I polished it to nicely! Now I can't bring myself to put a patina on. lol.
As for the peasant-

My Lieutenant approved me to carry this. JK friction folder. The scales are titanium, but they don't need to know that.
