Me:

1. EH Taylor Barrel Proof and Stagg 22B
2. I’m hunting for a Weller Full Proof
3. Probably another Russell’s 10 year (One of my daily drinkers.)
4. I’m in eastern Washington State.
Dayum, Son! 👏🏻

But where's the Pappy?

I'm drinking my way though a bottle of Blanton's and a bottle of Elijah Craig.

I'm tired of hunting. Life is too short. Just drinking my way through existing stock.

Unless I luckbox my way into something special, it will be a loooooooong time until my next purchase. I might not live long enough.

I live in the People's Republik of Virginia, where bars are not legal and the Commonwealth holds a monopoly on all liquor sales. I mean, unless you drive a couple of miles away into DC or Maryland and buy your booze there. Not that I would ever do that. 😇

I'll have to come back and add a pic later. I'm currently sitting on a couple of bottles of Van Winkels 12 YO, Wellers Full Proof, Wellers Antique 117, some EH Taylor, a bunch of bottles of Blanton's and Elmer T. Lee, some Elijah Craig, some Buffalo Trace, and some bottles of miscellaneous obscure stuff.

Sounds like you have an excellent selection of bourbons, cheers. No Pappy’s for me yet because I’m going to wait for a normal retail price before I buy it. I have made a few friends, store managers, in the business so I just need to be patient. Washington State gets some pretty decent stuff at their super markets. I’d like to see the picture when you decide to post it. Again, cheers!🥃✨👍🏼

Too many questions...
I opened a bottle of Noah's Mill last night; and too much of it is gone. I'll be taking steps to remedy that situation.
I prefer "overproof", and loves Rare Breed.
For a "house bourbon": Four Roses Small Batch.
Oh man the Rare Breed is excellent. I’m on my second bottle. As of now my daily drinker, that’s about 5 shots a week, is the EH Taylor small batch. I use it as a palate warmer before I dip into the higher proof stuff. The OGD114, the Stagg 130, or the EHT Barrel Proof. I don’t lose any flavor to the heat when I get a warm up!😃😃. Cheers🥃

I drink Wild Turkey 101° almost exclusively. I've tried, and have been disappointed, by fancier and more expensive bourbons. For me, nothing comes close, let alone exceeds, the kickin' chicken.
I use the WT101 as a mixer along with the Evan Williams Bonded. Everyone’s palate is different, but I personally tasted many a bourbon with way more flor than the WT101. To each our own! Cheers sir🥃

Just picked up a bottle of Bookers 2023 02, lots of hate on it from reviewers but I'm enjoying it. Calumet 8 yr is another I've been stuck on lately

Currently drinking a double pour of Buffalo Trace over ice.

Over the past couple of years, I bought/drank over 55 bottles of bourbon (live got a list) but the one I settled on as my "favorite" and "go-to" bourbon is "Buffalo Trace," which was one of the 1st bourbons I ever tasted, because it's widely available, relatively cheap and tastes "good enough" to me.

I've only got 1 unopened bottle of Buffalo Trace left on the rack and when I open it, I'll buy another 6.

I've still got 8 unopened bottles of Eagle Rare 10 on the rack, which I like better than Buffalo Trace, that I'm holding in reserve because it is so hard to find and becoming so expensive. I'll open a bottle when I can find another 8 bottles and have a full case of 12 in reserve and 4 to drink.

I've also got a collection of 10 bottles of some very high priced and hard to find bourbons (including but not limited to Weller, Stagg, EH Taylor, Blantons & Booker). I'll probably never drink them but the jury's still out on that.

And I'm also collecting the Pinhook Bourbon Vertical Series which started w/Year 4 and goes thru Year 12. I'm currently holding bottles for Year 4 thru 7. The release of Year 8 is coming up in Sep/Oct. I buy 2 bottles of the series each year. I drink 1 and save the other.

I've posted pics of my "collection" of bourbons elsewhere on BF and am too lazy at the moment to look for them to crosspost them here but, if you want to look for them, they're in the Blades & Bourbon thread in the General Discussion forum here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/blades-bourbon.1295700/

If you like Rye, look for Sazerac Rye, it’s usually about $30 a bottle and drinks better than stuff twice the price.

I see you’re stockpiling Eagle Rare, also another excellent bottle.

That looks like a lot of direct light on those bottles in the cabinet. That can have a real impact on the whisky after awhile.

Just had a Driftless Glen 7 yr single barrel last night that was fantastic.
Not hunting for anything right now.
Next purchase probably won't be bourbon, but a bottle of Found North batch 8 and the Peregrine.
I don't have a picture of my collection, it's about 300 bottles and a few barrels spread over 3 bars and two countries

I have tried collecting things, knives, arrowheads, Bourbon, etc. We use the silver and good China everyday. Buy the good steaks, drink the good drinks. More of a user than a collector. For sharing and entertaining Beam Devils Cut is surprisingly good. Basil/Hadens malted and dark rye have excellent profile and finish. And what we keep on hand always, Knob Creek Rye.
Live at East Central Ohio on Flintridge.
