Bow season starts Saturday.

Garth in most of SC there is NO limit on Bucks. I know more than one hunter that have taken 3 at a time.

What? No limit on Bucks. We get one a year. Doesnt matter how you take it but you only get one. I have let some really nice bucks walk hoping for a bigger one only to end up with nothing. You guys are lucky.

It's mostly the same here in Washington state. Very limited.

We have a large deer population. I see at least one a month that has been hit by a car. I myself have hit three in my life. An 8 point buck is considered a nice deer around here. You can regularly see herds of 5-10 deer at night feeding in the fields.

Saw 6 deer on the way home from work a few minutes ago. We seem to have a thriving herd this year. Hope a few are hanging around for this weekend.

I woke up at 5 am this morning thinking it was Saturday. Oh well, guess it was a practice run for the weekend.

Bowtech ready. Gear ready. Hunter stuck 800 miles from home for stupid "job". It should be manditory that we get deer season off paid from work. At least opening day.

I live in a central nj suburb across from a nature preserve about 45 minutes from manhattan. I have a family of ten whitetaila living across the street. On all of our south and Northern jersey hikes through cranberry bogs and such we come within feets of deer all the time. I guess they are acclimated to humans though. And the ones large enough for taking down are only a hair more skittish. I guess that wouldn't be all that exciting 'cept for having the meat freezer full up.

the day draws nearer! I cant wait to get a deer. I've missed hunting season. some of the best times I've ever had were in the pre dawn hours waiting for deer.. there's just something awesome about it...

There is no place on earth as magical to me as in the woods watching the sun come up. It's just icing on the cake if there happens to be a deer standing there.

Mild winter and all the rain helped providing a lot of extra lush vegetation. It will be interesting to see what it does to the acorns this year though.

Have a stand in a small oak patch in the woods and it appears that there are going to be plenty of acorns to keep the deer coming in, atleast around here.

I'm definitely ready for the cold of the morning. It's been foggy here in the morning lately, there's nothing quite like sitting in a tree in the woods on a foggy morning. I can not wait for tomorrow :D
