What goes in the box?? This is a test!!

I'll wait for a few answers before I give another clue.:D

An old Timer knife! What did I win? Need my address? Is it empty or full? :D

It's full!:D

You both got the "OT" part right!!:D:D

You are so close it is painful, Codger!!
A slight difference (besides trying to scan everything :rolleyes: A box doesn't do so good);

I don't have any of the paper, but I can live with it! ;)
It's got a few specks, and a glued crack, but never been sharpened, IMO.

Sweet! You know as well as I how few of these were shielded for Sears, very early in it's limited production. Only a very few of those are found today unused, and especially with the original box in near pristine condition.

Let me know how much the postage is. I'll gladly pay it. ;)

I'll call you first when it is time to thin the herd, Codger. I know you collect Craftsman objects of any knifely kind.
Right now, all that mooing is moosic to my ears:)!

I miss my knife like that. It was one of the several I had to sacrifice this winter to make ends meet. Such is life.

I was working in the shop tonight, but i knew it was a Craftsman 20T in there. :D

That is a real wood box correct?

The factory flyers said they were redwood, but I think they are red cedar. Waynorth and others who have one can tell us for sure.

An 8OT in bone is still on my wish list, Larry. Elusive little devils!

Sorry about your tough times, Michael. I wish you upwards from here!!
Real Wood, Hal!
I (gulp) scraped the bottom of the box, but can't seem to evoke that red cedar aroma.
It may in fact be redwood, which in my experience, smells more bland.

They are tougher to find than the 2OT's. I've only seen beater examples on Ebaay, and I check 8OT listings religiously hoping to find one come up from the black hole of listings that only I can see.

Hey, no fair, I missed the contest!:D

I don't think I'd have guessed Craftsman either though, nice find Charlie!

I did the old scratch and sniff on my box too (OK, that REALLY sounds wrong!) My wood appears to be a mighty redwood (sounds better:rolleyes::D )

Eric

My 34SA redwood box has no cedar aroma either.
And I've got a genUwine Marbles Safety Axe Gladstone
Mich USA cedar box with honing stone for comparison.
I applied a coat of renwax to the cedar box and whole
room smelled like cedar for several days.

Waynorth, I have a few 8OT in bone, may not be as old
as you seek but the pics might tied you over a spell.
Or cause the D.T.s....A or B.
