That was a great time. I was at that Jamboree as well and was a patrol leader. It was kind of cool at that age to have a chance to see George Bush Sr speak. Some of the greatest times ever was just sitting around with the guys fishing at that stocked pond all day long. I went all the way through cub scouts to boy scouts and was able to become an Eagle Scout. As with many others on this thread, I would never trade the experiences from my time with the scouts. It has and continues to server me on a daily basis.

I was at the 1981 National Jamboree in Moraine Park Virginia! Talk about huge memories, especially meeting and trading patches and neckerchief's with the Chinese Scouts. I still have two China Scout neckerchiefs.
