It was definitely used; many scratches on the blade that don't show up in the pics. I think I got it for about $25 bucks in 2010.Nice catch Thrill...looks like it just left the Gallery!

The first knife anyone has gotten me in my life without me bringing up the idea. My brother surprised me with this for Christmas. A solid little knife and WAY sharper than it looks.
Just thought I would share. Sorry for the blah pic.

I have been eyeing one for several months. May I ask a question: if I clip it to my Levi's pocket (the normal way) will that spike catch or accidentally open when I withdraw the knife? The answer to that question may cost me some money, and the irritation of the wife, but that's expected in the knife-lover's life. I'm not a fisherman, but want it purely for EDC and looks/fondling potential.
I have a Boye Prophet in my EDC rotation, bought it when they first came out, great cutter the only 2 issues I ever had were the pocket clip has a tube style lanyard hole peened/flared over to hold it on so with that the only way hold it on it can eventually spin.
The other issue was more of a learnin' curve than anythin' else, the blade material bein' what it is and made how it's made you can't sharpen them as you would normal steels.
These knives were meant to cut so they need an aggressive bite to work right, if you put a polished edge on it you'll be disappointed.
