BPS Buck Bowie

I'm not much of a photographer, but here is the best photo I could get.
The blade thickness looks like 5/32", just over 1/8".

Good looking knife! ;)

But I do see a discrepancy...The BPS ad states "Black distressed leather sheath"...You got a tan sheath...

If your wife loved you, she'd let you buy it...If she *really* loved you, she'd buy it for you... ;)

(If she says you already have enough junk, then drop her like a used Kleenex...) :D

I'm glad I don't have a wife and my girl-friend lives in MO... :) ... Works out just Great... :D ... I would buy one but there are so many knives to buy in San Diego, that I like just a little better...

Yes I was a little distressed when I saw the steath, but I have come to like the tan.
Thanks Rick

Tan sheath, Black sheath....I really like the knife. I just pulled the trigger on it. :D

What is more, I think that BP has it on for a really fair price. I hope you will post some of your good pics when you get it, Mike.

At the asking price of $149.00 I think it's a great deal. I will certainly post picks when it arrives.

Black sheath? Tan sheath? I like the tan (as pictured in upstream's photo) better than the black.

Damn you guys and your links!!!
I ordered one last night
This is the most I have EVER paid for a knife
The bar has been raised in my cutlery purchasing addiction

I'm assuming these are made in the USA right?
I would be devastated if it had a Made in China stamp

I'll take some pics when I get it
So.....Would #250 be as "valuable" as #001?
I'm not sure how they serial numbered knife market works
This is my first serial numbered knife....

ROFL
Chicken!!!
Your creative use of blank space really had me going!!
For that split millisecond is was in anguish
You got me good:mad:

If I get a tan sheath I might call them up and complain
Just on principle
False advertising
I prefer black
Tan is ok though

I'm curious how the pommel is attached..............

Trent, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Even if the sheath is made in Mexico?
If that's what it takes to make it $149.99 instead of $151.42
Then that's fine with me

I look forward to taking pics
I get a lot of pleasure from taking pics of knives lately
Sort of a pictorial database of my collection

For the record
I own several taiwan made Buck knives
I like them all
I LOVE the Buck 471 with the molded plastic sheath
I hang this one from my bug out pack

......You gotta be kidding...Have you checked out the prices at the Buck Custom Shop??? You'll pay more for a set of *Sambar scales* on a custom 110 than you paid for that BPS Bowie...and more again if you want a Damascus blade on it...

The one I ordered just arrived so I thought I'd shoot a photo so everyone could form their own opinion. As to mine...the stacked leather is better than that on my 119 and the overall finish is very good. Mine is number 005 of 250 and for the price is a great bargain in my opinion. The picture really doesn't show it but the guard is actually brass.

All things considered, that Bowie seems to be quite a bargain.

Glad to hear they are doing better on the leather handle.

Cool beans Five-0 Mike!

Hey can you (or Upstream w/o a paddle) post a pic of this knife next to a 119 or 124? And, a pic of the bottom or top of the handle? Looks square and thin.

Thanks and CONGRATS!!!

Thanks for the pic, Mike. That sure is a beauty! I am afraid that if I got one, I would use it.

OK Goose, for you, I'll break out the camera and try to have more photos up in a couple of hours. Would you like another picture with me holding the knife while I'm standing on my head, with the knife in one hand and the sheath in the other? :D
Mike
