BPS Knives of Ukraine

I don't know yet what I'll do about the finger grooves on my HK6. I'll wait till the savage is back together before I take apart another one and lose the pieces.
Good idea Jer ;)

I'm considering ordering a couple of these from Amazon.
From the photos and descriptions these would seem to be on-par with Condor knives from El Salvador.
Is that a reasonable comparison?

I've got quite a few Condor knives, the BPS knives are a heck of a lot sharper, and fit and finish is better than I've had with SOME of my Condor knives, while similar to most

I have a condor kephart blade that I've hafted and it is ok... But like the BPS much, much better.

The kephart edge wasn't very sharp, and was so thick that it took forever to grind it down on a stone into a good angle. Other than that, it's fine now but the BPS compact camper replaced it and the condor just sits in the drawer.

Perfect, thanks. That's exactly the information I was looking for.
I have a few Condor knives in the Accumulation, and have a Condor Terrasaur at work; with the orange handles I can't lose it. :D

I finally picked up the BS3, for some reason It has been priced quite high on Amazon for a while, so when the price dropped, i bought it.

I don't like it at all, And will either return it or sell it here. The combination of blade shape and handle just does not do it for me.

I also had a BS1FTS And I really liked that period but I was a little too rough with it and the blade snapped in half. I will buy another, but I will be nicer next time.

The HK1 remains my overall favorite. I'd really like to try the stainless version, but cannot bring myself to buy Chinese steel.

My latest package arrived from Ukraine, and included these 2 knives (plus another I bought as a gift for someone).

The Citizen reminds me of my old Valor Boot-Knife, except for the lack of a guard. Strictly speaking, it isn't a dagger, with only one edge sharpened, but it has a similar profile, and it wouldn't take too much work to make it double-edged. The black Micarta handle provides a good grip. Blade length is just under 4". The boot-style sheath is ambidextrous. Sharpening angle for the blade is 30 degrees, and it isn't quite as sharp as the factory edges on my other BPS Knives.

Love the knives and the pictures, thanks!
Is there any reason to order direct and have them shipped from Ukraine, instead of ordering on Amazon?
Thanks :) Yeah, I figure if I order direct all my cash goes to BPS Knives of Ukraine, rather than them having to split with Amazon

I wonder if they make that knife for people who aren't allowed to buy a double-edge, or if they aren't allowed to make a double edge. Or neither of the above is possible, of course.
