Brand Loyalty? Yup!

I too love Spyderco and they dominate my small collection. (Did I mention I have a D2 Para being delivered Tuesday :) ? )

I also favour spyderco, but I try and keep my addiction to the minimum and I the fact that I cannot aford any new knives right now is helping in that addiction. On my wish list is still a Military and a Para-military. I love the manix (the old one) and the only other knives I want is a Emerson cqc 6 (wishfull thinking or the 7 will do), CR Umnumzaan. That is about it for me.

I too consider myself to be very loyal to Spyderco. I started out with a few other companies I wasn't very satisfied with, one in particular that I feel was more interested in looks than anything. Then I got my hands on a Delica 4 and shortly after my Caly3. The designs, the ergo's, the materials, the quality. It changed how I felt about knives forever. I feel like anytime I even hold anything that isn't a Spyderco I am comparing it and they are the benchmark. I was hooked immediately just from how quality of a product they put out. Then I stumble upon a little site called Blade Forums and see Sal taking the time to answer peoples questions and discuss criticisms directly with customers. I was very impressed to say the least. Here I am now a few years later trying to figure out a nice, small first tattoo to get a feel for it and i'm thinking it may end up being a certain logo I like. Can you guess which one?

So yeah, I think I consider myself pretty loyal.

Keep up the great work Sal and everyone else on board at Spyderco, you're always going to have a special spot in my pocket. I can't thank you enough for the Caly3.

(And yes, if/when it happens I will post pictures.) :)

I stray from time to time but always come back to Spyderco. I am always on the search for THE knife for me. That one that stays in my pocket for ever.

It was a Delica that started me down this road. No knife has ever blown my ears back the way that one did. It was my first "high performance" knife. I think I keep searching for that feeling.

The POWER of the Spyder!
fwiw, many Busse owners carry Spyderco knives. I thought that was coo.

funny... I think brand loyalty is silly, but I ALWAYS look forward to new Spydies, and I could not care less about Benchmade's new lineup... I consider these to be the "affordable" high enders... Kershaw is great too... but IMO the other two are better and generally pricier for good reason.

In my obit: His trusty Spyderco Para Military folder went everywhere with him.
;)
