I wouldnt say I am brand loyal, i enjoy all quality knives. But lately spyderco has been earning my money. The last 3 knives Ive bought for myself (4 if you count bought for other ppl) have been from spyderco. My first love was benchmade, and yet i only own one, a 530 that gets edc every now and then. (actually my first love was case but i have everyone i ever bought plus a slew that where given or inherited.)

I am not biased I will buy from any company that has good business practices and quality products but spyderco just keeps winning my Benjamins.

Last couple of knives bought: se stretch (gifted to uncle bc he lost his Endura 2 that he had carried since the 90's), ffg Delica, ffg endura (really like this one), ce ss endura, Gayle Bradley (my favorite knife atm. never owned a custom knife but i cant imagine they do much better than this. Especially for the money.), Massad Ayoob sprint.

I think it all stated with a "s" or maybe q.. model that was finally sacrificed to the knife gods after being carried for years. (was given to me by the uncle that ws given a stretch) Im on a spyderco kick. But to be honest with there value, materials, and craftsmanship in folders its hard to beat.

The hinder flipper zt has the best chance of breaking the cycle but there is still plenty of time for me to buy more spydies untill then.;)

Spyderco,
I know you have a presence here on the forum you guys keep it up! I use every one I own.

I have really gotten into becker and kershaw, I cant wait to get more beckers, or some damascus/composite kershaws. I like my 2 spydercos, and id like to get another, but I cant find any spyderco that fits my current needs. I do not like cold steel one bit.

I don't buy only certain brands but I spend most of my money on Kershaws. Closely followed by Spyderco.

the brands i currently own are S.O.G., Spyderco, ZT, Camillus(just found it in my tool box). So far i've been impressed with Kershaw/ZT the most, but every time i look/handle my Spydie i can't help but think i need more.

Spyderco is a great company, so I don't blame you. I even bought two an hour ago off the internet! They listen to their customers, and are not out their to steal your money.

I am more of a Spyderco and Kershaw guy, for more modern knives. Kerhsaw has taken the place of Geber, when they were in their hey-day.

I wouldn't even call it "brand loyalty" because you'd stop buying the knives if they sucked. I think that we like certain makers styles, innovations and models so we choose to collect them.

I wouldn't call it brand loyalty really because there are models that I just don't like from a broad range of Companies. ;)

I tend to buy what I like and do own more models from some makers than others like Spyderco, CS, and Busse.

I've always been very brand loyal, from my cars to my tools, to just about anything that takes abuse. I am completely brand loyal to ESEE Knives. I think the world of the knives, but more importantly, I think Jeff and Mike are two of the best in the business. I think their honesty and approach to business is refreshing in a time when people tend to want to blow smoke of our...

I've used and abused my ESEE's from field dressing to bushcraft and have never had one complaint with their product.

I'm not brand loyal because I own knives from many different companies. I buy knives based on their merits, but I do own more spyderco's than any other company.

Every company I've looked at makes at least one model I like.
Every company I've looked at makes at least one model I don't like.

I buy the models I like and I don't buy the models I don't like. Problem solved.
(or it would be if I had enough money to buy all the models I liked. )

I go through phases where I lean heavily in favor of one brand, but never exclusively. A couple of years ago, it was Kershaw. Right now it is Spyderco. The majority of my knives are either Spyderco, Kershaw or Benchmade, but I do own quite a few from others as well.

Excellent reply!

Oh yeh! Plus 2.

I am definitely brand loyal to Swamp rat, ESEE, and Scrap Yard. Excellent knives, amazing warranties, and honest folks running the shows.

spyderco all the way... i have had a few cold steel knives and they just feel kinda cheap in hand i don't know what it is.. i tried the srk fix blade just didn't like it. returned it and bought an esee 6 love it!! anybody who makes knives should have a warranties like esee, swamprat ect....

and by the way spyderco customer service is the best i have ever had to deal with!! so kind and considerate.. i sent in the knife for fixing and the money necessary and i got the knife back and the money too!!.... very honest people at spyderco!!

Hmmm, every time I look at my "want to buy" list-not really "brand loyalty", but all the knives on it are Spydercos. Of course there are exceptions here and there :)

There are certainly brands that outshine the others... I am new to knives and have been fascinated with Benchmade... great knives and a great company. But my first spyderco had me mesmorized. Spyderco gets about 80% pocket time. They look and feel great.

I'm not really brand loyal, but over the past couple decades I have concentrated most of my purchases on Benchmade. I have always found them to be functional, innovative and extremely sharp. The one knife that I EDC for several years was an AFCK...until I lost it.

I recently purchased a Kershaw black Shallot that I really like as well as a Spyderco Centofante 3. For the most part, I really don't care for Spyderco mainly because I just don't like the look of their knives. However this Spyderco just kind of grabbed me when I saw it in the case. It is scary sharp and will see some EDC.

My absolute fave at the moment is a ZT 0200ST. This knife is a little large for what I normally carry, but it's built like a tank and just screams quality. I will definitely be buying more of their knives.
