I wonder if this is my knife here.:D

About the same size as a GEC 15? That sound right?
That ebony one is purty:)

Just received my Ebony 44 today from Mike at CK. What a beauty! It is IMHO the best that GEC has produced. Looking forward to getting the Northfield 44 in cocobolo and brass.

That ebony 44 looks awesome. The Northfield in Cocobolo and brass with the bullet shield makes me think of an old Henry lever action...can't wait to get mine either.

This is one of those patterns that I kind of took a gamble on. I had no idea whether I would like it or not, having never handled anything similar before.

Well, it is safe to say that I love it. It is solid, hefty, and gorgeous. The walk-and-talk is superb, some of the best out of the last few GEC releases and the pulls are good and firm. Hopefully I can get some better pictures soon but in the meantime, this one will do. GEC did a great job on this one and I look forward to the Cocobolo and Brass when it is ready.

Pàdruig Pàdruig And oldtymer oldtymer you’ve got a couple of beauties for sure and glad to hear the positve feedback . I also have a cocobolo on reserve with the Ebony on the way as mentioned and now I’m even more excited

If they had given this #44 a wrap-around spring for the pen secondary like the #92 Eureka jacks had, it would have been extra special. As it is, I still have ordered an ebony and a stag. I'm really stoked about the firm pulls.
That would look very classy. Do you think they were looking for ways to keep the weight down? These look like they have some heft to them already.

Not sure, but that little bit of weight to me wouldn't be a deterent. I really like a wrap-around spring!
