To be honest they don’t look bad up there :)

I don’t have a fireplace with a mantle so maybe I’ll just string up an xl espada above my stove next to a pig carcass.

Also I wish to clarify that I don’t think just because someone owns one that they are a “tacticool douche bag” it just seems to be Cold Steel’s idea of who will be purchasing their products.... at least that’s what I gather based on their marketing.

There are all kinds of knife collectors here. If you say something negative it is bound to offend someone.
Now that Cold Steel is floundering badly, a lot of my collection will probably be worth more than what I paid. As I get older, these impractical pocket machetes will be the first to get sold/gifted/bartered.

Do you have a valid basis (an article, press release, statement from GSM) or some proof of the validity that statement? We aren't even close to being through the first quarter of the year, the first quarter of the ownership change, and even the most aggressive of companies usually don't usually post earnings/losses, balance sheets or P&L statements on a 9 week performance schedule.

Obviously you have a trusted, factual source for that statement. Would you point me to it? Please cite your source. Thanks -

:confused: I don't know anything about their finances , but demand seems great for their products . :cool:

IMO , some of their prices on newest models are way too high , but that's easy enough to fix . ;)

Floundering 'financially'? Did I say that?
Now that you mention it, I don't see how they couldn't be, considering their inability to put products on the shelves of online stores.
One of the things that I liked about Cold Steel is you could find their products on sale year round at various online stores. That won't be happening again for a long time if they cant even meet basic customer demand.

Actions speak louder than spreadsheets. I was referring to:
Loss of Cold Steel key players
Their inability to produce their product
Reduction of models produced
New manufactures, unknown manufacturers? (Will the the new quality level be similar to Chinese Kershaw/CRKT knives?)
Switch to 8Cr13Mov on their lower end products
Ownership flipping. They are not even GSM anymore, right?
Absence of (real)Customer Service/warranty?
Price increases. They can't be "fixed" if they can't even meet customer demand.

We will see.

Which knives are made in Catalina Island, CA? What is this thread even about? You’ve yet to name any knives in particular, and have insulted a mod here, as well as members in W&C about this subject. But you still have not clarified anything about the intent of this thread.

Dude, this forum is a social experience. If you have things to share, come out with it. I think I speak for all of us that we're sick of your near-riddles. You keep dropping bait and running.

Please, name some names and contribute something positive.
 
They've been mall ninja brand for a while...
Now their knives are just as bad as their sheaths and marketing.

Don't get me wrong, some of their products are awesome, and I love my Warcraft Tanto.

But, their sheaths are hideous, and lately their quality control and customer service basically disappeared, steel choices are laughable and their prices went up.

Death of a brand...
