Has anyone gotten one of these yet? They look like a nice design but cannot for the life of me figure out why they went with a stainless steel.

i dont see myself buying one personally. i'm leaning more towards a becker or rat if i was to be wanting a necker.

Just saw these for the first time yesterday, I like em. I agree though, I wish they'd gone with A2 for the necker as well, don't know why they didn't. I dunno if I could justify the price difference for the Bravo though.

Not bad looking but too pricey for me for a neck knife.

I agree with Russel (below) regarding use of stainless.

It'd be nice to complete the "set" (I'd have to get the B2 as well I suppose :)), but I'm just fine with my Izula and W&SS Necker for now.

I wouldn't mind the stainless on this so much; I hear that Mike does a good job with that 12C27 -- it actually holds an edge pretty well and rolls rather than chips. I could see the positives in having a handy lil backup blade that holds an edge almost as well as a high carbon but is low maintenance. It would be a great lil blade to throw in a pack and not have to think about until you need it.

Hmmm...Im curious to see an in hand shot. Im not to worried about the stainless. Bark river does a great job wit that steel. Plus, a stainless necker is a neat idea. Would make a nice dedicated food knife when backpacking.....

However, those skeleton neckers are everywhere, and I have my bases covered right now with em, so doubt Ill be buyin one....

I think they look great. I already have three neckers, though. Currently I have a Jimi Wade in my pocket. It and the Izula see most of my pocket time.

These will ship to the dealers early next week.

I ordered one in black with black and green handles.

Here's the only in hand pic I could find.

Bark River's 12c27 is good stuff. Stainless makes sense for a necker to me, because it may be worn close to the skin. I'll probably pick one of those little guys up. The design does look pretty derivative of the Izula and Game Warden, but not enough to bother me. The one thing I question is the blade coating. Why bother coating a stainless blade? If I get one, I'ma strip it.

these look like great users... the design is spot on and as much as i love the looks of this little blade, i doubt i'll be buying one.. they're just a little too pricey for me... we all know i have plenty of neckers too..:D though i love the interchangable scales that these have...

I really like the looks of that. The Bravo 1 and 2 that I had felt slick in the hands. How does the necker feel?

That is a pretty snappy looking necker. I am really surpised to see a coating on a BRKT offering!

Over on KF, Mike S. makes a point of explaining that the coatings are applied before grinding, so that the cutting surface of the blades will not be coated after grinding.

To pricey ,I doubt I'd pick one up new.... The Izula & BK necker fit the bill for me by the time you figure the price for the scales, sheath boy the price rises quickly,I seen somewhere Mike mention coating the blades to save money ?
