Bravo Necker?

Thanks for the excellent pics Varg! Hell...if I ever have disposable cash...I'll pick one up just because I'm a fan of the Bravo line :D

What the heck am I missing on the all the references to expense? A quick perusal indicates $69 for a knife with the option to buy scales for $40? Yes, its more money than an Izula ($20) and becker ($35) but not outrageous and cheaper than a Hest with scales.

I think its a steal with that versatility option of being able to buy scales or not....Also my research says a kydex sheath is included.

It's been added to my KSF wish list:o... Now I just need that friggin Bravo 3 to be released!!

It's good to hear that Mike does a good job on this steel. One of my big questions is if you buy one and say a month or so later decide to put scales on it will the sheath still work? I would be great if it would. I really like the coating that they are putting on these also. Like some one said earlier if it is worn close to the skin that extra little protection may be helpful.

well that is sex. Shame on the steel though... I hope they don't convex a necker...
Yeah exactly what is the grind? Don't see it listed anywhere.
I don't have a problem with that stainless steel, although i'd prefer carbon.
I do like the look of the Bravo handle shape over the Becker or the Izula. However i'm not really interested in it if its convex grind.
Much prefer flat grind or scandi grind.
Just recently bought an Izula so i'll wait and see on this one.

Yes, the sheath works with or without the scales.

Anyone know how thick this is?

I would have preferred A2 but Bark River's 12C27 is not far behind in toughness and edge retention.

I think .130", Theo.

The more and more I look at it, the more and more I want to get one....:o:D

Thanks. That would be a good thickness with a nice 'thin at the edge' convex grind  I'm definitely getting one.

I admit, it seems a tad high, compared to an Izula, but the more I look at them, the more I'm wanting one.

Full specs'.

Overall Length: 6.250 Inches
Cutting Edge Length: 2.5 Inches
Blade Steel: 12C27 @ 58rc
Blade Thickness: .130 Inch
Weight: 1.5 Ounces
Finish: Electrostatic Powder Coat (Except for the Blade)

Of all the production neckers out there now, I like the look of this one most. /the grind looks better than the Izula or the BK-11, so, in the long run, I think it warrants the extra cash.

Yeah, me too. The big selling point for me is the handle and scales. It looks like a comfy small knife, and as KGD pointed out: it is cheaper than a HEST w/ scales. The 1/8" thickness is good too. Maybe this is will be at the top of my xmas list this year....

Price seems fair to me. I have a few of Mike's knives in 12c27, and wouldn't hesitate to get another; he does an awesome job with it. I like that it is stainless, given it's intended role. I haven't had a yearning for a new fixed blade for a while, but that may have just changed.

Really?

That's a sale price. I paid more for mine than that, but still less than $69 + $40.
