Bret Dowell Knives

Absolutely terrific, Bret, I love the swedging and nick placement. Hell . . . I love everything about it!

Here's one I just finished up and fixing to send out to the new owner. A 3 5/8'' trapper with bark elephant ivory. Hope you guys like it. Thanks Bret

I know it sounds weird but the first thing I thought of when I saw this knife was the scales look like vanilla ice cream with caramel and fudge. I really like ice cream with caramel and fudge. :)

Great looking knife Bret....I can't wait for my number to come up again.

That cover material would be perfect on the knife I have in mind when my names comes up. Probably won't be any left by then though. Beautiful knife!!

Do you do your own photography Bret? It's really nice.

I'm starting to think I need this pattern hafted in ebony scales...that sounds really nice for an edc.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. Yes I do my own photo's. I struggle with it. Sometimes its seems like I spend more time on the photo than the knife. Chief helped out a bunch and got me headed in the right direction though.

John (aka Chief) does great photography and loves to share his knowledge. He has some great pieces of your work as well.

I just got a super nice Dowell with green linen micarta handles that look more of a brown with a Wharncliffe single blade and a federal (I think) shield. This is the first Dowell knive I've ever put my hands on and I'll admit that I'm impressed. The workmanship put into the knife is excellent and the attention to detail is evident. The grind, swedge and nail nick placement are outstanding. The knife is much better than I paid for it. Mr. Dowell, well done!!

Here are some stolen pics of the knife.
