Bret Dowell Knives

I take your fella's comments as a dare to post the mark side.....well how's this make you feel!?

(Thanks Tim and Gevo, this is by far one of my favorites from my collection)

Jake,
I was a little perplexed that You showed us the pile side and I was thinking that it
might not have a shield, and curious what the nail nick looked like. I am glad that
You've showed us the mark side. The graceful angular swedge highlights the perfect
nail nick and the shield is the right choice.
EXCELLENT STAG ON A WELL CRAFTED SLIP JOINT.

The stag is great on both sides so I figured I'd switch it up for a change and show the pile side first. There's nothing on this knife that I would change, it's got it all.

ATS-34 Steel
Double Bomb Shield
Fluted Steel Bolsters
Jigged Bone Handles

This thing is really a great piece from Mr. Dowell, I have had the opportunity to own a few of his pieces and this is on the top of the pile. It's got Bret's mirrored yet satin finish on the blade, satin bolsters, and beautifully jigged amber bone. Really nice pull around a 5-6 with a summery afternoon stroll on the beach style walk and talk...

This one is cool.

I can't even stand to look at any part of that knife because the jigging has my full attention! Wow that looks sweet!

That is one of the most attractive knives I have ever seen. Congratulations on owning such a beautiful piece of cutlery.

I would also like to call "dibs"

Thanks for sharing pics.

I call dibs behind Greg

Such a nice knife. Makes we want to sell several for a custom. If only Brett's wait time wasn't so long I really really like his work.

Bret is at the top of his game for sure. Every knife is clean, clean, clean. Well proportioned also. Proportions are hard to get right. You either have it or you don't. For example.....Don Hanson has it. Rick Menefee has it especially on his fixed blades. Incredible work.

Love the barbwire! Always impressed with your great photos too, Tim.

Thanks alot bud, beautiful work deserves illustrative photos to display it ;)

I agree John, I appreciate your work as well~
