Bret just finished this beautiful Lanny's clip with amazing bark mammoth for me. Should be in the mailbox waiting on me today

Since Bladeforums is finally fixed..I can finally write out this post from yesterday
Fantastic configuration and LC by Bret Rob. Some incredible mammoth on that one.

Here's an old/favourite photo of what's in my pocket currently. This weekend is going to be quite the Dowell haul though
Had a chat with Bret earlier and he told me he build this one originally for Larry Parsons, his leather sheath maker~

Guess it's only an online forum issue. Here's the mailcall from today.

A nice 4 1/8" trapper with bone linen micarta on top of natural canvas it looks like. Very warm colour combination. Never quite warmed up to larger than 4" slipjoints even though I have L-XL hands. This can definitely do some nice work as a pairing knife or dressing meat.

Another beautiful knife from Bret today. (My "not going to Blade" haul)
This was actually the silver lining to a very horrible day since I blew out my rear tire on i95 and also lost my ring due to the accident.
Luckily I'm safe and so was this in my pack.

3 1/4" Rag Micarta baby Zulu w/ red liners by my favourite maker.

The micarta itself has an immense amount of layers. It reminds me of woodland camo or the moss that grows on rocks in the forest.
The red liners give it a pop of contrast.

Included is a comparison photo with my other Dowells.
With the contouring it's actually incredibly comfortable in hand despite it's smaller stature.
The contouring lets you get even a secure 4 finger grip although the 3 finger grip is feels just as nice.
I'd love a 3.5" version one day from Bret in the future.
