Is there a list of knife shops, by state, that have regular hours open to the public?

I know of several in MD, PA, DE and VA. Edgeworks and Knife Center in MD, although you have to make an appointment to drop by the Knife Center. Country Knives in PA. New Graham in VA. And Willey Knives in DE. I am looking for actual brick and mortar stores, not flea market stalls, farmers market stands etc. Whether it is a small store, or a super center like Smokey Mountain, I'd like to know.

I don't have a list but in NEWPORT, KY just across the river from Cincinnati is a shop called Cecil E.Clark Knife Company that is a decent little shop. They have many of your popular brands and they operate a website called Bladematrix. The thing is their website doesn't have any of the really cool older knives that they have for sale and have taken in on trades over the years. Nearly 20 years ago in their older building I would go in there and ask for something and the lady would just say won't you just come back and hunt for it on our shelves. I used to find so many obscure and discontinued knives. Once I bought 4 Benchmark Bushmasters NIB for $20 each!!. Sorry I got off topic there , but it's a great little place to check out if you are in the area?

Never seen a list. Sounds like a great project. Go for it:thumbup::D

I can add one to your list. Grand Prairie Knives in IL. Great showroom.

I don't know of any list, other than the phone book.

What state(s) are you interested in specifically?

My favorites, AG Russell in Springdale, Arkansas and Shepherd Hills Cutlery in Lebanon, Missouri.

Bass Pro Shops in Hanover, MD has a decent selection of certain brands like Buck, Case, Spyderco, etc.. They also have a good selection of sharpening supplies. I hear the Cabelas in Hamburg, PA is impressive though I've never been there. Not sure about their knife selection. I have walked into the Knife Center for a pick-up after making the purchase over the phone. They are not set up as a walk-in business but they were kind enough to let me pick up. -DT

I am looking more for knife specific shops in MD, DE, PA, WV and VA. I have been in Cabelas in Hamburg, PA, and Bass Pro at Arundel Mills in MD, and both have great knife selection, especially for sporting goods stores. The local spots near me, Walmart, Dicks Sporting Goods, Gander Mountain and assorted hardware stores, have mediocre selection. I am planning on visiting Knife Center when the weather gets a little bit more, certain :D.

I would like to assemble a list, broken down by state, but have no idea how to build an online list that can be manually updated by users.
