I guess its one of those, you just have to try it and see things. Which actually applies to almost all Busse Knives, but I digress. I prefer the MBC to the SAR, SAR3 just doesn't do it for me. I do like the MBC better, but then I like smaller blades. YMMV,,,

Excellent first blade! Mine was an Elmax active duty that I've since traded. My first piece of INFI was an MBC, so I'm biased. :-D Love my Pork Shanks as well.

Agreed. I like, and own, them both. The MBC is just such a comfortable, compact fixed blade. Like you I also like smaller knives. Not to speak heresy, but Bark River has some nice options in that size range, and even smaller. They certainly aren't Busses though. :)

IIRC, the MBC also had a higher Rc of 61-62. I liked mine but it was just a tad too small. Maybe I would have kept it if it had black canvas instead of paper. I like the grip on canvas a bit better. Here's an old pic with the MBC at the bottom, then SAR3s, and some Pork Shanks

It was heat treated to be a point harder than typical INFI! That and the overall design is enough for me to say bring it back Jerry!


I really regret getting rid of mine.
 
All those with these "bring back the xxxxx" petitions: Stand in line! ...Forms to your left...goes around the block. ;)
Now, about those Anorexic Assault Shakers cut out of a Ganza last minute so very long ago...?

This MBC is getting some pocket time :smiley_simmons:

I think it is a great profile for INFI and quite a scrappy little blade for the size.
